I am not 100% on this just so you know. I think this can get broken up into two different categories as you hinted at: physical enhancers and mental enhancers. There are plenty of blood flow increasing drugs that do not enhance the mental drives associated with sexual desire. The drugs that fall into that category are easier to get without a prescription as it is possible to get the blood flow effect without effecting cognition so there are usually plenty of "legal" alternatives to the prescribed ones.
However, I think the mental aspect of desire is driven mainly by dopamine and the drugs that effect that are usually (in my knowledge) illegal. Drugs that act on dopamine while increasing desire through neurotransmitters also seem to have a stimulating effect. It can vary from very stimulating like methamphetamine to more jittery and heart beat inducing like yohimbe.
I really cant give any good advise but thats at least a start. I have tried experimenting in this area unfortunately i discovered that cocaine has the desirable amount of stimulation duration and tactile increase to make sex more exciting. I never found one that purely increases desire without any different effects.

^^sexual desire is related to dopamine, this is true but there are other parts of the equation that havent been figured out yet imo..sadly, most drugs that boost dopamine also increase anxiety and cause other problems..
the only thing i have taken that is legal and OTC that has increased sex drive is yohimbe..problem is, it only seemed to work half of the time and it definitely increased my anxiety and blood pressure..sadly there just arent any truly effective sexual enhancers out there OTC..
