Drugs for Paranoia are there any?

Antipsychotics would reduce paranoia because the blocking of the D2 receptor reduces salience. Obviously though, in terms of acute anxiety caused by paranoia, benzos would be useful. I wonder if beta-blockers have any potential in paranoia, like not getting rid of paranoid thoughts per se but simply reducing the feeling of 'impending danger'

I'm surprised I'm the first to suggest this but have you any experience with opiates? Don't get me wrong, they're addictive as all get out but damn do they work well for me. I have a hell of a problem with paranoia (particularly the kind where I perceive everyone in the room to be talking about me) and though my 2 year addiction has been rough, when on my dose anxiety and paranoia vanish. Honestly I'd recommend talking to your doc if you want a prescription change as he shouldn't give you any trouble with a med change but if a more clandestine route is what your after I'd recommend giving Opis a shot.
