I was wondering for all you athletes out there what are your thoughts about drugs such as ecstasy cocaine or speed effect on your sporting perfomance in the long run. Say you train 3 night a week and play your sport on the Saturday and take drugs on the Saturday how much fitness am I killing and also was wondering if them party drugs I mentioned above are better for you than alchole ??

Every drug has a different effect on physical performance.
If you take a stimulant (mdma, cocaine, methamphetamine, etc.) before playing, it should improve your performance. In the long term though, your performance while sober is gonna get worse.
 
Ecstasy cocaine or speed taken after gameday to get high is going to start your recovery off with a catabolic influence.

In terms of fitness, you'd much rather get into an anabolic cycle of training-->rest+nutrition-->game-->rest+nutrition-->training-->rest+nutrition etc... where you are either fully recovering or getting consistently stronger, depending on the demands of your sport and how close you are to your genetic potential.

Some players are just better than their opponents and they can afford to not give a fuck within certain limits and then go out and dominate. Even so, it will tend to shorten careers, limit potential, and open the door to rivals who actually have intelligent focus and self-control.
