Drugs.com wrong info?

Drugs.com says lyrica is a GABA drug http://www.drugs.com/drug-class/gamma-aminobutyric-acid-analogs.html

I thought it did not act on GABA receptors and was not cross tolerant with benzodiazepines/z-drugs or alcohol.
I crave alcohol when on lyrica sometimes, but not always.

Can someone confirm that lyrica and benzos/booze are not cross tolerant please?
I put this in basic drug discussion becaause I am not chem or pharm savvy, thanks
 
I was reading something that said it doesn't directly affect the GABA system but it slows the release of glutamate and norepinephrine.

It's probably not cross tolerant but it may affect the same GABAa receptors like benzos and such.
 
Maybe it just doesn't grip the receptors hard. I'm sure you'll notice some sort of GABAergic type PAWS if you were on really high doses for really long. Don't ya think?

Who knows? But Drugs.com could be wrong. They ain't god.
 
I take pregab 5 days out of seven, don't notice any wds on days I don't take them, but I only take doses ranging from 275-450mg
 
its a GABA; Lyrica is a stronger gabapentin; gabapentin is a GABA; therefore Lyrica is a gaba.

you SHOULD notice a slight withdrawal if you are taking heavy doses daily and decided to cut all usage.
 
I don't notice any withdrawal, I only go upto 450mg, but if I went over, like 600+ I am sure I would.
 
yea, thats not much, man! thats like someone doing a 5MG perc; it's really not much.

I do about 3200MG of GABA/day but TRY not to do it too much since it would lead to withdrawal and its NOT what I need since I've been addicted to opiates many, many, many, many (I could write many a zillion times) times.
