Drugs And Parents [MEGA-MERGED]

Neither of my parents got into drug use. My mother experimented with pot, but her drug of choice is alcohol. My father never really used any kind of mind altering substance until his last few years when he began drinking beer socially. I dont necessarily wish my parents had done drugs, because i have plenty of drug using friends whose parents also were users, but they are no more tolerant of it than my mother is.

My mother has a serious problem with my drug use, even though she only knows that i smoke pot. She hates marijuana and everything associated with it. She only drinks, even though almost all her friends either smoke weed, or do benzos or opiates (or all 3). Her best friend constantly gives me Percocets and Xanax, and even asks me to get her MDMA and LSD if I find any. Wierd huh?
 
My dad smokes weed daily, he used to be right into LSD and was tripping on mushrooms watching me be born... He drops E's occassionaly and his next mission is to roast some DMT. My mum never really liked weed but was into amphetamines as a teenager, I once gave her some GHB as an alternative to drinking.

My parents only ever condemned my drug use when i was probably still to young to be doing them, but other than that they have always been quite accepting...
 
Q1: Both my parents currently dont do drugs(besides the occasional drink) but back in the day my dad said he tried weed a few times and didnt like it. He said thats all he did but my mom told me he tried coke a few times with my other relatives. My mom btw has never done anything besides the occasional drink.

Q2: I live with my parents seperately (week with dad next week with mom- due to theyre divorce)

My mom knows i smoke weed and lets me do it as long as i smoke it outside and dont drive anywhere while im high. She also knows that i wanna try shrooms/acid and shes ok with it.

My dad knows i smoke weed but wont let me do it at his house.(he's at work alot so heh) He def. wouldnt be ok with me doing cid/shrooms.

Yes. My dad was a hippie and did insane drugs. He got hep c recently on account of this. Thank god it is cured now. He also dealt coke while I was little and he was laid off from work to make ends meet. He still smokes weed to this day. My mom is a alcoholic and former coke fiend. Tried weed, supposedly didn't like it.

I live with my dad now and he doesn't care about my use of weed/shrooms anything I want to do I can do it I just gotta find a right time and he will either not care or never know.

My father once got a bit of headrush from smoking pipe tobacco. My mother smokes cigarettes (... you can tell how the situation is with these examples)

Q#2:
My father would probably break my nose if he found out I used drugs.
My mother would cry herself to sleep that night if she found out I'm doing drugs again.

So yeah, the other day my dad was toasting up some crack in the basement and ... =D
 
Q1 - They both smoked pot back in the day. But have since stopped. My dad smoked with us once when we had a party out in our field, and he wanted a bowl for newyears.

Q2 - They know I'm smart about it, so they don't say much.
 
Q1 - Yep. My mom said her drug of choice was Acid, and Mescaline during the snowy (skiing) season. Said she didn't like pot as much as most of her friends, but enjoyed 'good' coke a lot. I didn't think my dad had done any substances while I was growing up but my mom said he went through a stage of curiousity and experimentation, and Shrooms came up a few times... etc..

Q2 - I've told my mom everything I've done, and she doesn't trip too much at all. She is interested that I know so damn much about drugs and is happy that I have helped prevent other family members from going too far with evil shit (like meth).

When my dad was young he was into quite a bit. Alot of his friends experimented with the wrong drugs and fucked up their life totaly. I think 2 of them even lost an arm and a couple of others got AIDS. Only 1 of his friends broke it off by himself without going to rehab.

He still smokes occasionaly and just recently cut down from roughly an ounce a month which isn't much when you roll joints.


My mum wasn't that heavily into drugs but she has tried quite alot of stuff but never got as heavily into it as my dad.


Q2: Do your parents condone or turn the blind-eye to your drug use? Are you open with them about it?

Both my parents don't really mind what I use. I have told them what I have taken and they can see that I don't use every week (mainly due to money though ;)). I'm relatively open about it with them but I prefer not to talk about it.

Just because they are cool with drugs doesn't mean they are better people. It's actually annoying when you look at them and see how they fucked around when they were young but they still want you to succeed or something. 8(

my dad was tellin me he ate 160 mushrooms (picked from the ground around vancover island)with his friedn in 2 days!!! thats crazy i laughed so hard at the guy.pops was quite the hippie in the day and he smoked lotsa herb,but he didnt do anything like acid and coke hes a clean natural good spirited kinda guy,my idol.nowadays he doesnt really care if i smoke pot and do mush but tells me to stay away from the cid and coke he says those kinda drugs let the demons inside your head??lol

my mom told me she did acid and smoked cronic back in the day out in paris where shes from.she found a bag of mushrooms and weed on my desk in my room one day when she was vacuming my room,when i walked in and she walked out shes like why do u got mushrooms and weed on your desk im all like ohh there not mine:D sahe didnt do shit cuz she knows i wouldnt give a fuck either way,and id just eat em or get some more.

i find the best way to make your parents chill with what u do is gain there trust and prove your not a dumb ass and your gonna go kill somebody while your smokin pot or someshit.but if u one day end up chugging back a mickey of vodca and wake up with your mom balling her eyes out standing next to a paramedic trying to revive u and keep u from choking on your puke,then ending up in a hospital with a blood alcohol content of 32 and 40 is death for and adult and your only 14 dont think u gonna get any trust for a long time:D
 
Q1: not sure what my mother has taken, but she has surely smoked weed before. one time when she was on holidays she smoked a joint that MUST have been laced with something (according to the effects she described)

Q2: they condone some of what they know. i would never ever tell them all about it. i don't think it would make THAT much of a difference, but i don't need that shit.
 
My parents used HELLA drugs before I was born, and after I was born all the way up until I was about 9. They were coke heads/dealers. I wish they hadn't. Growing up was a little like the movie "Blow" for me.

yup, my dad has done weed and shrooms that i know of. my mom has done the same except she says they are satanic and makes her feel like she is in hell. my dad defintely did his fair share of drugs back in the day, he still smokes weed once and a while.

they dont acutally know. they know ive tried weed. they dont know about anything else. so they pretty much are blind to it. im not open with them, but i wish i could be.
 
1- yes my dad smokes pot sometimes. my mom used to but doesn't anymore

2- my parents don't really know much about my drug use. they think that i have tried mushrooms and e (both once) and they know i smoke pot. i wish i could be more open, but they would BUG out. :(
 
1.) my parents used to be huge coke heads
oh yeah and my dad smuggled a whole bunch of hash into the US from germany in like 1979


2.) they think i only smoke weed... HAH %)

Q1 Yes. My Mom smoked pot once when she worked at the Cock N' Kettle in Whitinsville. She has only taken one drag on a cigarette but drinks moderately. My Dad from what I have heard from him and about him was a heavy user. He drank like a fish, took speed, dropped acid, ate shrooms, smoked pot and who knows what else. I can remember when I was 3 or 4 going over houses with my parents and watching my dad smoke pot. I didn't think it was anything special or important then. I also remember him getting drunk a few times from when I was young. He only drinks now but its so infrequent that a 12 pack might last longer than a month.

Q2 No. Both panicked when they learned I was smoking pot. My Mom was just freaked out by it. My Dad just got pissed off about it and said "You need to get off that shit!" It took years and some really fucked up events before they knew the full extant of what I was doing. It took till last April before they knew about the valium, oxy, hydrocodone, Xanax, etc. It almost killed them to learn I had been doing heroin and had been to a detox. I just don't like them too know and they really don't want to know what I am up to now. Yeah, I still use alot of pills and smoke pot. I haven't used since last year but, I really want to again and they can not find out! Yeah, they hate drugs.;)
 
my parents, before i was born had done LSD, speed, and weed dont know what else. my dad still smokes pot regularly and my mum doesnt like drugs at all.

my parents know i smoke weed, and i recently told my mum i have done ecstasy a few times... my dad is fine with me smoking weed, he showed me how to roll joints before i was even interested in doing anything,... he doesnt know i do e yet... but my parents dont like me doing drugs, and i get spoken to about it a bit, but they are pretty easy going about me doing it... they say it'll screw up my schooling and they are probably right to an extent

Nope. My father has never even tried a cigarretes. My mum's tried them but never took it up.

Q2.
They do not know I have taken any drugs. My mum may suspect I've tried E but she's never let on.
