Drugs And Parents [MEGA-MERGED]

I had a subtle conversation about drug use with my mother a few days ago. She swears she never put any "illegal drugs" into her body.
Although, she adamantly stands by the fact that she put a joint to her lips but DID NOT INHALE! 8) I love my mother, but I had to call her out on that one. She won't budge though...

Anyway, my dad's another story...he's used drugs in the past but isn't proud of it at all. At least, that's what I figure because he's only ever hinted towards having used when talking about how "messed up" he was when he was young.

Needless to say, I can't bring up any of my habits with them else all hell would break loose.
 
Dad- Yep.
Mum- Think she smokes weed sometimes.

My parents are cool when it comes to drugs. I like it that way.
 
My dad is actually a police officer now, but I have heard from my uncles that he was once quite the herb smoker in college. However, whenever he caught me with a bag of weed when I was living under his roof, I would have hell to pay. My mom also doesn't use drugs, but from arguements I have heard between her and my dad about my drug use when I was in high school, she apparently had done some exploring with cocaine in college.

My mom is somewhat cool about it. She doesn't want me to be doing anything serious like heroin or even eating prescription pills (thanks to my criminal offense that gave me the grand opportunity to sit in the very luxurious county jail for a few months). But as far as weed goes, she's sorta like, "If you're going to smoke it and then be around me, just don't act retarded".

But now that I have moved out, my family is so unpredictable that I wouldn't doubt if my parents are puffing on the ganja right now.

my mom was a major fag hag back in her day, so yeah, she dabbled. she used to hang out with and date one of the bee gees too, and that was back in the days cocaine ruled...she didn't like it though.

my dad and i smoke weed together. that is all he does, though he admitted to doing poppers back when he dated my mom and ran around with the gays.

my father and i are planning on going to peru and partaking in a aya session, i am looking forward to it. he is quite the alcoholic and has a lot of issues from viet nam that fuck with his head, so i think it would be good for him.
 
Uh going to peru without a preknown destination for ayahuasca can be REAL dangerous... heads up... seriously... I have a friend who "was removed from the country" for almost that exact reason
 
i have spent some time down there before, and we are planning on using a known shaman, i have spent some time on the aya forums checking out the reputale ones. no worries, i know what i am doing. ;)
 
My mother is a narcophobe. She's afraid of the very word "drugs", alcohol included.


My father admitted to have smoked hash back in the 60s when he lived in Alexandria, Egypt. It would have been hard not to back then, since hash was more common than tobacco ;)

lek 7abibi ana min blad l arz, libnen :) kamen my father admits to smoking 7ashish in lebanon when he was my age and older bas now he drinks and my mother doesn't do anything either bas heik she admits she has done 7ashish :)

my grandma used to talk about smoking weed with bikers and shit
my dad used to be into coke hardcore apparently, and smoke herb, but i never talked to him about it.
 
no. fuck no. not that i know of atleast but im 99.99% sure they didn't. when they thought i was smoking weed they fed me bullshit like how it destroys your brain and all that. all they do is drink alcohol usually and sometimes smoke
 
I always found it odd, that during my coke days I would find myself hanging out with mother and son duos smoking rocks with both of em.

How the hell does that happen?
 
My parents grew up in the sixties; of course they smoked weed at times. They weren't that into it, though. My dad also took amphetamines before working, and did LSD a couple of times as well.

My parents didn't really influence my drug use very much. However, my dad was telling me that drugs are ultimately an inferior version of reality, and cited marijuana and speed as examples. He took exception to alcohol, not surprisingly, but when I asked him about LSD, he also stated that he believed that it too could be used constructivly. He's pretty straight laced these days, which is why it surprised me.
 
my mom is a heavy drinker and i know she used to smoke pot
and i was told that my dad smokes weed on occassion but he would never admit to it.

im sure both my parents still smoke but my mom denies it
 
Dad Smokes pot still, and occasionally does cocaine, Mushrooms (when i give them to him) Pain killers (vicodin/percocet).

Mom's drugs include Caffine and alot of nicotine. She used to smoke pot.. But thats how her 4 kids came to be! so she stays away from it now.

My parents know what i do, and are very okay with it. Aslong as i don't kill myself. My dad Might have had a slight influence on me when i was younger. Only with pot though.
 
My mom doesn't currently use. I'm pretty sure she's smoked pot. I know when she turned 18 (in 1968 ) she went to the haight ashburry on vacation. So she might have done other stuff maybe LSD. All she does now is drink wine, she quit smoking cigs about 10 years ago.

My dad is an alcoholic. He drinks like 1.75 liter of vodka very couple days. The only drug I know he's done is pot. I smoked pot with my dad and step mom once. It was strange. It was my dad's week too, apparently some guy at a bar was giving out free samples and my dad saved. I rolled a joint, it was weird to smoke pot with them. I'm pretty sure my step mom used to party pretty hard. She's like a biker chick kind of and definately was on the bar scene for years. She's awesome though. they both smoke cigs
 
those of you who know of your parents use, how old were you when you found out? i was an adult...it kind of creeps me out to know that it can happen younger, though i know a wonderful family whose parents were total pot heads, (upperclass) and the kids knew since when they were young....

the reason i ask is that i ponder constantly how far my childrens drug education should go.
