Music in my head - The mind's ear!

I got to say the past a couple of months, when I'm high, esp on Ketamine and sometimes on acid, sometimes E, when I close my eyes, I can actually hear wicked tracks inside my head... it is usally overpowering and sounds wicked fun.

, now I wish I was a producer/ knew how to make music cause some of the music I hear in my head are actually wicked :)

Anyone experience this?
 
i always have music in my brain espically when im bored and stoned walking down the street wit no i pod
 
^ But like can you actually 'hear" the music in your head like it was playing on your i pod?
 
oh hell yes!! this was one of my favorite things about doing ecstacy (i've since stopped)

sometimes I would concentrate really hard, and realize that the "song" I was hearing was actually the air conditioner or the ceiling fan or something. but it sounded like beautiful music.
 
I have this, but instead of music, its video. I see videos in my head that are sweet. so cool.
 
This happens to me, just not on drugs. It occurs when I'm in a very relaxed semi-concious state when I'm waking up and a tune will sound forth, usually folk or classical and it is completely original. It is at that point where I think, ... "Damn, I hope I remember this tune!" Because the songs are absolutely amazing epics that would stand very well on C.D.
 
Oh wait the OP is hearing wicked things on wicked hallucinagins... Thats hella wicked, man when I'm on hallc. I also hear things its the FUCKING NATURE OF THE DRUG...

^^haha...wow. ive never done any psychedelic drugs (never been interested) but this is somewhat drug related. auditory hallucinations.
 
I hear music in my head all the time. That's why I'm a musician. Marijuana is the main music drug for me, but there's alot of things that help with creativity. I've been writing music for 11 years, and the last 8 years with the help of drugs. Mary Jane is the greatest for this, not schwag, though...it works, but not like the Chronic. High-grade lets me hear all the intricacies in the music in my head, with schwag the music is still there, but muffled I guess is the best way to put it. So yeah, I experience the music thing, and I'm assuming you mean music YOU made up, not other people's songs, right?

You and me both bro. I fucking love it! I get that sometimes when I sober though. Its weird.

This is happening to me sometimes even when i'm sleeping dude. And it gets to the point where you dont need drugs any longer it just happens all the time. Isnt it fucking awsome?

The next step is actually SEEING music ;) its fucking crazy. One of the last times i did LSD i basically turned into a walking visualization. That's the only way I can describe it.

Yeah, I can hear it all the time. I can see the music, too, but when I try to describe it to others, they look at me like I'm a lunatic. That's how I compose my music, by what it looks like in my head, it's weird even for me.

And this is drug related... As you can read from the title, I was actually waiting someone to bring up McLuhan's concept of "mind's eye, and mind's ear" ... However, I thought perhaps someone might bring that to the discussion and say something about it. Nevertheless, it is interesting hearing other people's stories and what drugs they have experienced with this...

exactly my point... I thought that the OP (oh thats you huh?) was a little heavy on the "wicked" but thats just me.

I'm too lazy to look it up right now, but there is a 'condition' (i wouldn't necessarily call it that) or what have you that some people have that enables them to 'see' scents, 'smell' colors or shapes, apply shapes to food, etc. etc. etc.

I'm not talking with drug use, I'm talking in their every day lives.

I've been able to do this with music since I was a child. I started piano when I was 7 and was trained with classical shit, beethoven, mozart, blah. I quit piano when I was 12 to play guitar after I heard a song by The Smashing Pumpkins. I can't explain it. I could never be a music teacher, because my method is guaranteed to make absolutely zero logical sense to anyone else. There would be no way to apply it. But I can see what I hear in my head and transpose it onto synths or guitar or piano no problem.
Do I really have a "condition"?

pot gives me auditory hallucinations. i'll be like 'where is that song coming from' and realize it's in my head. and i hear bugs/crickets in the middle of winter. if i'm really stoned i'll hear odd noises that don't make much sense (like a weird machine)

real sound is also intensified. i hear things in my backyard like dogs walking through leaves and people talking downstairs that i normally can't hear
