You jest F&B I can hear the "K-Hole music" throughout the experience.

It's always the same regardless what I was listening too though .. like the K-Man has set-up a rig blasting repetitive beats down the tunnel 8o

Ketamine makes music sound worse in my opinion. There are songs that I find really moving, as if they're speaking to my soul, but on K they'll just sound cold and dull.

I've noticed that if you have any noise in the background while you're K holing it can become a supersonic roar. So loud that you think your head's going to explode from the intensity of it all.

Sound and K in general just doesn't seem to work.

I enjoy NIN during my K sessions. But as stated before..once in a k-hole you are not aware of music or where you are.
Other good music I like to listen to on K- its called "chakra healing". It has some tuning forks and crystal bowls. I find the sound and vibrations resonating throughout me. It really helps me have a deep meditative trip.

Does anybody have a piece of music that always seems to herald the 'Oh god, I'm dying/dead scare the shit out of you' experience. For some reason, rhe last 3 times that has happened it's been the same track I remember hearing' ironically its 'Good Vibrations'! My ket horror experiences haven't dented the enjoyment of that song whren tripping, but I'm fairly diligent not to have it on the computers playlist when doing ket these days

I enjoy having a box fan spinning in the background to create white noise when I use ketamine. White noise becomes something else entirely upon approaching the K-hole.

Personally I like to listen to trance or prog trance while on Ketamine. The trip seems to follow the peaks and crescendos of the music making for a nice ride. 'Funky' house is also strangely enjoyable on K.

On the flip side, I cannot stand to hear any guitar based music while on Ket - or any drug for that matter. It makes me feel all cold and as if the life is being sucked out of me. Very unpleasant!

One other thing, does anyone else get the sensation that there is music being played vary faintly when there is actually no music playing at all? It's as if there is a club down the road and you can just hear the low-frequencies filtering through. :)

Mini Techno, also Rainers (great trippy slide gutair soundscapes) stuff was excellent!

I can hear music while in a k-hole. However, I tend to dose K in pre-k-hole doses. Music does sound a bit cold and unemotional, which is why I think minimal techno fits so well with it - the dark, deep droning sounds seem to fit in nice with the headspace that K can thrust you into.

people dont call minimial techno k-hole techno for nothing :P

Drum and Bass. Any kind is awesome. Being able to feel the vibrations off the sub bettter than you can hear is amazing.

The Beta Band - Its Not Too Beautiful. Great K-Hole tune!
Also The Bad Plus are great for K-holes/Salvia-holes! :)

Good picks I wouldn't thought of. I saw The Bad Plus live in the Twin Cities, MN and bought one of their albums. Have loved it sober; but thinking of all the bizarre rythmic variations in their music makes me wish I would have had access to K more often....

Sound gets so fucked up on Ketamine. Everything is warped, your sense of hearing becomes much more sensitive, things you should be too far to hear suddenly drown out your own thoughts.

Such chaos, can't imagine picking out a music to like in a khole.

I'm a guitar geek, so listening to Vai or Satriani will bring an intensity of emotion and awareness. I love ' Is Their Love In Space' by by Satriani; it starts real moody and dark and then soars. I don't 'trip' from music; it's more than that.

One band I really dig is Slipknot; the raw agression always makes me think about knocking Chuck Lidell out. Just don't tell Chuck; he's a scary
m*therf!cker. But I wouldn't listen to them if I was tripping. I'm old school, gimme the Dead or Floyd for that. And Floyd will never be a cliche! They're the OrIgInAl TrIp bAnD.=D

Which substance enhances your enjoyment of music the most?

Everybody always talks about how weed makes music sound so much better, but I've never really experienced that. It changes my tastes in music, but that's about it. For me shrooms are the best. Even when listening to music on an iPod with crappy ear buds, I feel like there's a concert inside my head. Amphetamines let me notice nuances in the music that I've never heard before. On the opposite side of the spectrum, on mid to high doses of DXM music becomes just annoying sounds with no meaning.
