King Crimson really jams on acid, also sected ambient works of aphex twin.
theres an anthology of ambient music called Ambient Works, and comes in several volumes, really trippy stuff and lasts for hours. anything mellow and wierd, but avoid techno its too grating for me,

molotov by the ascent of everest will make me feel like im having the most intense emotional trip ever....the song leaves me with a huge lump in my throat every time, especially when the strings kick in at 4 mins in....

ahhh strings, the most wonderful sound known to man....

After reading this reply, I thought some people might like to try this out.
I've had a listen to it, but I was in a crappy mood so I turned it off.....

I don't believe what this program/product is claiming, but it's worth a try - got nothing to lose lol.

One song which always gets my imagination running is the ever so famous Your Hand in Mine by Explosions in the Sky =\

Listening to 'Mr Brightside' always makes me feel like I'm on E. Never experienced much else like it though, and it can be uncomfortable sometimes. Especially if it comes on the car stereo.

Ever since my powerful ayahuasca experience where me and a friend listened to Boards Of Canada, everytime i listen to the song "kids for today" it instantly changes how a feel to a completly care free and relaxed state.

Best song to listen to whilst im noddin as well.

Ketamine and Music

Hey,
I just want to get some opinions on your choice of music / artist while going into a k-hole? I recently K-holed for the first time and was wondering what you people like? Personally i was listening to Delirium - Karma Cd.
peace for now

theres a thread on this in DC and i know this thread has been posted in here mad times and moved to different forums.

music, imo, sounds extremely odd on ketamine. it does not sound "enhanced" the way it does on acid or mdma. to me, it sounds "warped." it sounds that at times it speeds up and slows down, falls out of tune, plays too sharply, plays too flat. my mind is in a constant state of change wrt its perception of sound [on ketamine], even peoples voices seem to be slower and lower. imo the best music for k is something more ambient, or something very progressive. imo something without vocals is best, allows you to deviate further form reality.

if uve ever seen sound production software, it sounds to me like someone is just grabbing the nobs to differnt filters and effects and is just tweaking them all at random.

my blog which has lots of links to DJ sets that are mostly minimal techno, some of them go rather well with K :P (Sleeparchive, Monolake, etc)

but in general, Psychedelics of any kind + techno = bliss for me :)

juno reactor(labyrinth cd) or infected mushroom(classical mushroom cd)

I've tried to create music ro accompany the ketamine experience (quite a few people here have copies of the CD, some took it just to get rid of me!), but it's a lot more difficult than what ws termed 'acid rock' as you're shutting down the sense of hearing with ketamine.

Sort of self-defeating!

LTJ Bukem & MC Conrad are great for disocciatives in general. The music is very atmospheric and has that epic sound to it, so you feel like you are taking a journey. I eventually go into a state of mind where the music is a part of my experience so much that I forget I'm listening to music and it melds with my thought patterns... odd, but damn, some truly immersive music there :)

You cannot listen to music while in a hole, but perhaps what he means is the music you hear before you enter it. Might have some influence on it... my memory is a bit tossed when it comes to the moments right before hitting a k-hole so I cannot really say. I like the music to be very chill when I come out of it though.
