psychedelic music to me is anything that has many levels of different sounds and tunes meshed into one larger more beautiful song. So stuff like greatful dead, frog brigade, pink floyd, shpongle, tool, bjork, boards of canada, amon tobin, thievery corporation, and other stuff like that.

for shrooms though, i got an album off of amazon called "Ayuhuasca songs of the peruvian amazon" which is basically drumming and whistling. beautiful stuff

I just had to add that it's a multi-sensory experience like the original idea of church was designed to be (believe it or not) so if your on drugs it will obviously "enhance" or add to the stimulation of your cognitive/sensory inout/output insperience/experience.. does that make sense ?

Heroin is a hell of a drug. Ecstasy is a hell of a drug. Music is a hell of a drug.

I go for the music! Whos going to BANG in miami? I am!!!

having sex on drugs is not always possible ... especially when u got a gf and no proper drug for sex... like coke or smt else...

but music ... is too fukin important for drugs ... i cant imagine doin any drug without music ... and wut i call music is goa-trance .... i am addicted to music more than drugs and cigarette... so i guess its all about music... I go for music =D

all those other guys folk singers in 60s psychadelic rockers in the 60s cant list all of them since there is like a hundred but they are good, though they mostly have only one or two reeeeaaaly good songs

These are all good

But beatles and dylan and all beatles solo are perfect!!!!!1 99% of the time, th other% they are good.

ever tried Revolution 9 while trippin acid? 8( 8( 8o 8o 8o 8o %) %) %) %) %) :\ :\ ;) ;) =D :o =D

#1 My Morning Jacket (by now many of you should have guessed that I’d say that)

Better yet watch their new live concert DVD!!! It was just released and I can’t fucking wait to watch it tripping. And if I don’t get to do that soon, I will sure as hell be tripping when I go to their show in DC later this month!!!

Anyway, it depends more on the direction you want to take your trip rather than what the substance is … well, usually. I know what some people are saying w/ regards to high dose shrooms and the like. I’d say the most important thing is just to listen to music that you like. I’ve never been too big on Greatful Dead/ Phish hippy music or the Shpongle/ trance stuff … but that’s just me. Just keep me the hell away from pop music please.

Amazing with any psychedelic:
Pink Floyd
The Flaming Lips
Radiohead

Just chill and relax music:
Bob Marley
Peter Tosh
Bob Dylan

Good acid music?:
Jimi Hendrix
The Mars Volta

Other good choices for any occasion:
Modest Mouse
RHCP
The Black Keys
Wilco
Outkast

No lyrics … can be great for letting your mind drift:
Explosions in the Sky
Medeski, Martin, & Wood
Sigur Ros (well, no lyrics that I can understand)

If I have nothing to do while tripping I often find a visually spectacular movie (usually something I haven't seen before) which I put on mute while I listen to music. The movie always matches so perfectly with the music that it can be truly amazing.

Electronic:
Sasha
Digweed
James Zabiela
Bassnectar
Orchard Lounge
Nick Warren

Bands:
STS9
Lotus
Disco Biscuits
Pink Floyd (obviously a classic for psychadelics)
Lotus
Elemental Harmonics
The New Deal
Signal Path
Zilla
String Cheese Incident
Pnuma

I'll agree with th Bassnectar comment. That guy rips it live. I've seen him twice and everytime he outs on such an amzing show.

i'll add tool to my list, the other night their new album was absolutely insane on acid...id imagine led zeppelin would be awesome too, im going to try that one out this weekend.
