Another vote for shpongle, although it doesn't hurt to throw a few old classics in there. The Clash for example :)

Definitely agree with The Flaming Lips, Shpongle, Hendrix, Phish always does the trick for me sober or fucked up, Dead, Miles Davis (Bitches Brew is the shit)

Band: Sigur Ros
Specific Tracks: Staralfur, Vaka, Untitled #4 (The Nothing Song)

Band: Mr. Bungle
Specific Tracks: Pink Cigarette, Sweet Charity & Retrovertigo (all off of the California album)

Band: Chemical Bros.
Specific Tracks: The Test, Under the Influence, Hoops, The State We're In

Band: Emerson Lake & Palmer
Specific Tracks: The Sherriff, Trilogy, Hoedown (makes you feel like you're goin' nuts! ;) :D)

Band: Buckethead
Specific Tracks: For Mom, Big Sur Moon, Pure Imagination, Padmasana, Electric Tears

Though I put up the tracks *I* liked the best, I deffinetely suggest that you listen to an entire cd/show while tripping.

Ummm.... I didn't post this. Someone's impersonating me!! *runs & hides*

Ok so it's probably more likely that I left myself logged in somewhere.

MDMA by far. It's just not that the music sounds awesome. YOU ARE THE MUSIC. You flow with it. It's like you understand exactly what the message is in the music. I'm talkin trance here. You know, when you're in the club, and the song just slows down and the bass actually stops for a bit. And the song just has that "enlightening" build up in the song, just before the incredible blow up beat comes out. And the lights are just going. You feel SO ALIVE.

Dance the night away..

not sure if you were just talking about trance there but YES. this is it exactly, i will never hear the music i listened to on e the same way again. one of the best nights of my life was the first time i did e & went to a breakcore show complete not only with some of the best music EVER but all these great video screens going on behind, i tried to describe the experience for about a week afterward & couldn't at all.

Might be more appropriate in the 'music & DJ's' forum. But I have many memories of listening to 'the doors' while on LSD. I have been listening to lately on acid mainly live acts (meaning non-electro) but also love psy. trance or Ambient artists. 'The cure and happy mondays are regulars at the moment.

Aphex twin worked for me, 2manydjs provided alot of entertainment on acid, constantly changing songs made it interesting - get the fun of risk, could be something you love could be somthing you hate.
