Ecstasy if you count that as a psychadelic. Some good breaks with a nice bassline with your eyes closed is better than sex when on E.

Mushrooms make music sound very detailed but distant for me, I like it.

Acid and Shrooms owuld probably win my vote. (Together or seperate). Definitley NOT 2c-e. It has an audio trip that makes all the music sound high pitched and kinda fast.

I don't agree 2c-e enhanced music nicely for me. I think I know what effect you are talking about though... with tryptamines like DPT and Mushrooms music would slow down then speed up during my peak like somebody was playing with the tempo and pitch.

I love it when I'm hotboxing and Rush comes on the radio. :) Weed is definitely the best for listening to music if that's what you mostly intend to do on it. Fly by night, spirit of radio, closer to the heart, YYZ and The trees all really kick ass IMO.
I've never taken LSD just to enhance music, but music while tripping on acid can be both amazing and scary. My preference for music on LSD is ambience, Stone in Focus by Aphex Twin being my favorite.

Oh man...Rush on acid is incredible...but...

That Rush song Red Barchetta on an LSD peak + THC is fucking insane esp while your friend is driving you across a 4 mi bridge at 100 mph!!!! OMG, everytime I listen to that song I think about that.

So my choice combo for music is LSD + THC and Rush. =D

Best/Worst Music Video To View While Tripping

I was tripping a few weeks ago, Saw the most terrifying video i'd ever seen, so i guess i've started this thread to pay homage to the wonderful way music can alter a mood. visually, emotionally & aurally.

Well the most terrifying video was Aphex Twin - Come To Daddy. I'd seen it before (on my hard-drive) but yeah, a friend played it for me. this thread topic has always been a talking point in conversation - and i knew i'd view this video while tripping one time or another, accidentally or not.

some other terrifying video's i wouldn't like to be exposed to whilst under the influence of an hallucinogen would have to be Nine Inch Nails - Perfect Drug (fucking good video might i add) Tool - Stinkfist and so on.

on the other side of the scale, some beautiful video's that evoke wonderful energy & emotion whilst tripping are for me - Sigur Ros - Svefn G Englar, Nick Cave - Into My Arms, Badly Drawn Boy - Silent Sigh and so on.

yours?!

This is a good idea for a thread! :D

One time (a few years ago) I was at a friends having a wicked time when they started talking about this Robbie Williams video and how it really tripped them out.

I was like "What, Robbie Williams?"
"yeah, have you watched it ALL the way through?"

So they made me sit down and watch this Robbie Williams video all the way through. I thought it was lame, I can't remember the name of the song. It's just a basic film clip but then Robbie starts taking his clothes off.
Still bored

Then he takes his skin off, and his muscles and strips right down to his skeleton. It freaked me out because I wasn't expecting it from a pop video. He had all these girls skating around him catching his body parts and eating them and rubbing it over their bodies, yuck.

As for video clips that make you feel good, I still can't remember the name of the song but it was by the chemical brothers. It starts out with this girl underwater and a whale swims by her. You need to watch to find out what happens but I think it is ace!

Aphex Twin videos are pretty freaky.

Whilst technically a dissociative, i personally enjoy music more on dxm, sprinkled with cones, than any other drug ive tried (tho i cant comment on the RCs). Vegan said it well, 'acid makes the music 3 dimensional', the effects for me on dxm are very similar but more a bit more pronounced, kind of taking the body along for the ride with the mind.

I haven't tripped TOO hard yet, but interestingly enough, I have to say dxm as well. Good music on a heavy dose of dxm flys me into a new, beautiful plane of consciousness. Hard to explain.

I hate dxm though, a terrible drug for me.

I felt really good with "Minerva" by Deftones. Also "Days Go By" (Dirty Vegas)...I love that video. Fantasia 2000 is a nice "music video" for tripping too... ;o (Obviously I've only watched mainstream stuff so far.)

If I wanted to have a bad trip, I'd watch this video, though it's not quite a music video.

I would say Aphex Twins - Come to Daddy would be the worst music video to watch while tripping.
