my music..

i agree w/gugglebum--always listen to the same music when im fucked up, stoned, or sober-its all about the drum and bass(all of it)and also nu-skool breakz.=D

I can't *STAND* reggae. I can tolerate it even LESS whilst stoned. People look at me like I'm from mars when I say that. They tell me it's music specifically crafted for the stoned state of mind -- a musical celebration of stonedness. Um... you say so. I don't get it, personally.

I like to listen to anything ethereal, cosmic, or abstract when I'm stoned. Orbital is great -- I had them in my discman the last time I took a stoned bike ride.

Other good artists when I'm feeling bongy:
Pink Floyd, Ween, Radiohead, Tosca, Talvin Singh, early Deep Forest, The Orb, Deep Forest.

MUSIC TO TOKE TO

deffinately The Notwist, some other goodies for the occasion are Jack Johnson, Sublime, Bob Marley, when your real blazed get into a Cypress Hill playlist

OH god yes.....SquarePusher, especially live. Greatest shit ever, along with what i said before.....

the only music i listen to all the time is tool and apc and that doesn't change depending on what drug im doing, unless its phsycadelics then it'd be something more appropriate like classic rock or psy-trance.

explosions in the sky!!! wait a minute.. why am i replying to a thread i started. nvm.. i hope the mods dont mind

but seriously guys, you HAVE to give "explosions in the sky" a listen... theyre instrumental and they are MINDBLOWING

Cypress Hill...Tupac...Biggie...KMK...ICP and whole phycopathic family...deep trance...techno...if im pissed....Heavy metal...Death Metal....

Lil Whyte - OxyContin (chopped and screwed)

I've been listening to that track every night like a thousand times while I have a blunt lit. I also listen to some of his other stuff. I love chopped and screwed because the slow motion just fucks with me when I'm high. I've basically just gotten a bunch of chopped and screwed songs and been listening to that recently.

WORD. I didn't think there were too many other people that had even heard of this band!

I'm guessing you mean their post-"Chemicals" stuff, like Neon Golden era. That stuff is fat. But if you haven't already check out their albums "Nook" and "12" for some sick heavy guitar based rock. These guys are like the German Radiohead.

infected mushroom
sublime
jimi hendrix
red hot chili peppers
bob marley
prodigy
the caesars
dj cheb i sabbah
incubus
joy division
massive attack
requiem for a dream soundtrack
radiohead
the grateful dead
etc.

you know, basically whatever i feel like. :)

one time i was at a mate's and we got pretty stoned. he ultimately went to bed when his girlfriend came over, leaving me in the lurch. i sat for 2 hours with the telly off, just listening to pink floyd the division bell about 3 times over. really dangerous shit for me. anyway, i'd have to say a little psytrance for experience; drum n bass for mood; and hard nrg for cruisiness.

Pretty much anything electronic. Gabber and Hard trance are my personal favorite types but I refuse to listen to happy hardcore...I just cant stand that crap.

bob marley is my favorite whether i am stoned or not. he is a true revolutionary and a poet with a sweet reggae beat

I listen to everything that I listen to sober pretty much so theres lots of different stuff. But my favorites to listen to high are:

Dredg
Pink Floyd
Tool
A Perfect Circle
Aphex Twin
Explosions in the Sky
Massive Attack
Radiohead
The Mars Volta
No Knife
Miles Davis
John Coltrane

Dude, that aint right, you can't just say that one genre of music is better that others. There are some genre of music that doesn't go with the younger crowds, like country for example...I'd say respect other types of music, I love hip hop also but rock bands just are more gifted and more talent put into their music, like Pink Floyd, Jimi Hendrix, Shadows Fall, In Flames, Children of Bodom, Alice in Chains. But I also like Bone Thugs ~n~ Harmony, 2Pac, Old Busta Rhymes, Warren G ~ Regulators, but also Beatles, Steve Miller Band, Tom Petty, Mad Season ~ I'm Above, Kill Switch Engage, Pantera...I'd say be open minded and explore other types of music, don't just dismiss other types of music because they don't talk about Bentleys, Bling-blingin and Nike Air Force One shoes (had we deteriorated to the level of dumb-ass beast? ~Dr. Journalism)
