i was just wondering what everyone's favorite type of music to listen to when youre high is. my personal favorites are portishead, pink floyd, and ben harper, but anything with a good steady beat is cool with me

i second autechre, but i like them regardless of my state of mind i do think i'm prone to listening to a lot more electronic music than usual when i'm high, though.

listening to electronic music takes you on more of a journey. it lets you fall deeper into it if you've got the right beats.

I have a pretty diverse taste in music, so I listen to a lot of different things when I'm high. I'd say techno is probably what I listen to most when I'm toking up, just because it sounds so much cooler. I hardly ever even listen to it when I'm not fucked up on something though.

my all time fav music is pink flyod. fav album being pulse. fav song being shine on you crazy diamond, dark side series of music, the wall series, one of these days, etc etc...

watching pink floyd dvd is also very cool when you are stoned... pulse concert, and the wall (movie). the first time i ever watched the wall was when i was high and it freaked the shit out of me. in a good way of course.

but time to time i get bored of p.f. music so i go for something more trance like, paul van dyke, dj quicksiver, etc...

guitar sounds by joe satriani and steve vai are always sweeter when you are high.

Pink Floyd of course. So many good groups though, Zeppelin, The Who, Sabbath, Allman Brothers, it goes on.

But Progressive Rock, like Floyd, King Crimson, Yes, Rush, Jethro Tull, thats the best music to listen to while youre high. It's so damn complex and intense. If you want to know what progressive rock is, check out the album Fragile by Yes, one of the greatest albums ever made.

Things like Cradle of Filth, The Smashing Pumpkins (two favourites when high) and a whole bunch of trance stuff and a whole bunch of metal too.
