Drugs and Famous people.

I wanna say LSD with Jim Morrison, but only because that's the only artist that comes to mind. I don't think I'd have a really enjoyable trip though, mainly because of his personality. Maybe LSD with him in the earlier years would be fun, but definitely not later. I'll come back to this thread when I can really think of someone I'd like to do drugs with.

Yeah everyone has had great responses, this was a fun topic... But I still think smoking with Brad Nowell and getting fucked up at party with him would be a great time.. (but i love Sublime..) Also smoking a blunt with a famous philosopher would be cool.

Mushrooms with Moses would be fun, we could go around talking to bushes and shit. I'd love to smoke crack with Richard Pryor, even though I don't smoke rocks.

I suspect that the fallacy with a question like this is that 1) why would they have any reason to spend any time with you; and 2) with the more lofty people you all propose just what could you bring to the table for such a discussion other than showing respect for the person or some kind of hero adulation.

You world need to know about them-their life--not some surface shit the media feeds you.

As i said--nice idea, but you'd have to do a lot of homework first so that whoever your "choice" is wouldn't tell you to split after they hung with you for 2 min., copped all your dope, and just told you to split-immediately.

I would want to use drugs very moderately with the following people, I'd want to be coherent if I were to be able to meet/communicate with them

Good Coke and Alcohol with Miles Davis
Speedball with Charlie Parker
Heroin with Mitch Hedberg
Heroin with Bill Evans
Alcohol and Amphetamines with Hank Williams
Alcohol and Amphetamines with Townes Van Zandt
Sober with Steve Earle
Anything with Ryan Adams

I can't speak for you entire list but it gets problematic with:

Charlie Parker--He never advocated drugs and would no more do them with a stranger than fly to the moon.

Mikes Davis--Even members of his bands had difficulties with him-also Miles didn't drink that much.

Bill Evans--unless you were one of his very few personal friends outside of music-you'd never have anything to say to him-because he would in all likelihood not even talk to you. Also--he went long periods of time off heroin opting for methadone. Execpt at the end of his very sad life.

I'm curious: what exactly would you want to say to these men?

Suggestion: go out and buy some of their recordings--much you can learn from the music; you don't need words. I can suggestion some seminal recordings ibid.

I would not do any drugs with Woodspiece... He/She seems to be the biggest buzzkill ever.
I'm sorry is there a fallacy in that statement woodspiece? G.D, chill out and don't hate on people having a good time thinking about who they would like to get high with instead of tearing their posts apart.
Man, are you the kid in class that would remind the teacher on a friday afternoon that they forgot to assign homework for the weekend?

yeah yr prob. right bout the buzz kill--if the other person there is a moron or some 20-something kid. But i can tell you the with the right ppl--its an enliveneing experience.

but the "buzz" is only an means to the end--gotta know something about life other than what the media feeds you. You know anything about Camden, Newark, or uptown NYC. other than as a place where its a "hood" and you can score drugs? Do you know the historicity of these places?

Don't worry, its all good. be careful.

they are some of my favorite musicians, that was the only reason I wanted to talk to them. I tend to get along well with people with the personality types you listed, I play music for a living and have always gotten along well with musicians, especially the more eccentric ones.

I remember an interview of George Harrison who said he stopped doing LSD when it got uncomfortable for him.
Some people he would meet would just come up to him wanting to trip with him like if it was some cool thing to do. Maybe something to tell the kids years after.
Would all these guys like to get high with you ?
Hehe
