Bupe Drugs and Depression

Is there a reason you get really down once or twice a week? Or is it something that just happens. Maybe cause, like you said its regular, your thinking about it happening or you dont think it wont happen, so it happens

no it just happens for no obvious reason. Up until a week ago I didnt think about it was just a thing that happened. I dont think it has anything to do with me focusing to much on it and i try to not dwell on it. I would really like to find something that helps before it gets worse.

Some of the most 'depressing feelings' I have ever experienced were during the 6 months I spent on subs. I recommend not using the drug unless your opiate addiction is to the point of complete hopelessness. The really bad news is the most depressing times you are having now, well, you might have to deal with that every day for a month when you come off the stuff.

Also, you might be 'dropping off the adderall' I was on the drug and it happened to me a few times a day for like 30 mins or so. It's the stimulant comedown afaik..

and..

If you're gonna stay on benzos I would switch to diazepam..

my addiction was def at the point of hopelessness. Ive been a heroin addict since 15 and im 25 now. I have been on subs for 3 years and I actually think it helps my depression. without it i would be a total mess and probably still using.

As for the adderall I might switch to dexedrine if possible because I think the adderall might contribute to what i am feeling. Most days when I take my adderall I feel it and feel good, but somedays it just doesnt really work and that might be causing what I am feeling.

Im not sure, but if there was something else to help this I would be down to try it.

Why switch to diazepam? I mean clonazepam is known for it's paradoxical effects, and I've seen *some* evidence it is *slightly* more likely to cause depression, but diazepam hits fast, and at the equivelant dose has a much shorter duration than chronic clonazepam, so it would ultimately make him less stable in the long run, IMO.

I have been on both and prefer diazepam. The reason I said that is because it does 'hit fast' which can level off a low caused by a stimulant. If this is a random 1 or 2 day a week depression, I honestly have no clue what the op should do about it.

carry on..

That actually makes perfect sense. Thanks for clarifying!

(I'm dead serious, I hadn't thought of that, though it alone isn't enough of a reason to switch, again, IMO.

yea, you are correct, it isn't a good reason to switch from a stable/HR perspective.

Lorne??? I wonder what your last account was?

Thanks for the advice zerr what you said makes total sense I just dont wanna change any of my current meds what im having is definitely 1 or 2 a week random depression and I dont really know what I should do either lol.

Subs helped my depression in the beginning as well, the thing is my depression was caused, or at least made worse by my H addiction/withdrawal. I'm off all drugs now, I don't feel great but I am feeling better than I was at any point on either H (during withdrawal) or subs.

Thats awesome I am sure you will feel better eventually. My depression was from drugs too and like I said I have been on subs for 3 years and I still think they are the reason im not a total fucking mess. I would love to be totally sober but i doubt that will ever happen. I might be on the shit for life.

There is also Strattera for adhd/depression but I have no experience with it. It's def not as strong as Adderall tho.

Yeah Ive taken Strattera and it made me feel super weird and did not work at all lol. I have treatment resistant depression and that is part of the reason I am on adderall. Thanks for the advice tho zerrr.

Taking amphetamine with bupe and klonopin was all i used to do, and that isone hell of a cocktail... your dopamine system is all out of wack. So eventually your gonna crash hard. Benzos can also contribute. I used to gothrough awful depression on that combo. Short answer is pick eithet the Adderall or bupe, but not both at the same time. Lose one

Thanks bro, yeah i know its a crazy combo. Sadly I will def not be able to pick one or the other. I think my depression is a kind of crash. I either have to find a medicine that helps the crash or i just gotta deal with it. It sucks...

Bothdepending on life circumstances, but i seem to remember it basically as youve described, what do u mean sadlYou cannot choose to fro drop one?Its your body! If you wanna feel back to normal, do whwhatever you can

I see, both subs and adderall do more good than harm so I want to stay on both. If I dont find something that helps my depression and it gets worse maybe I will have to make the choice to come of one, but I hope I can stay on both and just find something else that works. Thanks for the reply man.

The more i read your replays to peoples suggestions the more im thinkin this is a battle your having with your head. At the end of some of your replies is the "i wish there was something i could take before it gets worse." I used to be in that frame of mind but reality is even with modern medicine there is no magic pill out there that will make us feel good all the time. I wanted to find that pill and it just doesn exist. No matter what you get, even if it feels like this is the pill, it is only short term and this problem will happen again for you.

Like motiv said, you got quite a cocktail going right now. I would suggest trying to get down to as little meds as possible. If you dont mind me asking if your physically active, do you work, have a girlfriend, or do activities with your friends. Im not saying you do this but we cant feel better if we just sit around doing nothing and thinking a pill is just gonna make you feel great. We have to help our brain release some of the natural endorphins.

For me that was a hard thing to realize and it took me a while to help myself the natural way but one thing is for sure, they dont have that magic pill yet cause if they did we would all be on it. I hope i didnt come of harsh, i know where your coming from and i hope you start to feel better.
