Drugs and Bali!

We're off to Bali in July for a friends 21st, be cool to 'indulge' when I'm there. I'm obviously aware of the dangers of drugs and Indonesia, so just wanted to ask a few questions. Firstly in places like Kuta etc are things like coke & pills actually around or is it something that is hard to find? I've been to Bali 4 times, I've never really thought about taking anything and to be honest I don't really remember seeing that many people spannered, just lots of drunk spastics. By the way I'm not sourcing! Just curious to know about availability! Also I've heard that you can be charged in Indonesia for having drugs in your system, can anyone confirm this? If I did take anything, I'm not planning on having it in my possession for any length of time, buy it swallow it! That said, if it is high risk i.e taking 1 pill = jail sentence then I'll just stick to arak!

and, for what it's worth, nice and pretty Westerners have been sentenced to death in some of these Asian countries before due to their stringent drug policies.. I would think about the risk you're taking. Third world prisons aren't nice places..
