I've met someone addicted to tripping. They were really far out there to say the least....not exactly grounded in reality. Definitely fucked their life up in my most humble of opinions.

This reminds of the memoir Officer and a Junkie. Dude in the army starts tripping 4-7 days a week since its very rarely tested for. Hes also doing GHB daily, MDMA few times a week, Ketamine pretty often due to him acquiring the drug testing schedule from a friend.

Really good read, I recommend it to everyone.

Did i say that everyone should practice "just say no"....uh...NO. Im just saying that there is a reason most people think drugs are horrible, specifically meth, crack, heroin, etc. And i don't think this student should focus his presentation on why drugs really "aren't that bad." Nice assumption though :/
 
focusing on cannabis and heroin and specifically WHY they were scheduled in the US would be very, very illuminating to your peers i think. cannabis was basically scheduled because its industry threatened to stand in the way of existing fortunes, and heroin was basically scheduled because of race issues, namely, to keep white kids away from jazz music and blacks, enforcing segregation without actually coming out and saying it.
 
Choose heroin, bring in any junky, and have him tell how he used to just do oxy but then it got too expensive. Oh and it used to be legal, in fact the same government than makes it illegal used to think it could "cure morphine addiction"

Make them realize that pharms are way more powerful than heroin. Methadone has worse withdrawals, oxymorphone and hydromorphone make a way better shot than dope, if i relapsed and could be magically given any drug, you bet your ass itd be a fat shot of hydromorphone over heroin any day. Plus the millions who doctors get addicted, while lying about their chances of becoming addicted, and how much pharm companies rank in

Mak sure to bring up that in countries that have some or all drugs decriminalized, how much of a positive effect it has on both drug users and society as a whole, prohibition movement as an example in america

It is disgusting the crap they try to pass of as facts. In middle school health class our teacher told us if your a guy and smoke weed your penis shrinks and you grow breasts and if your a girl your breasts shrink and your clit enlarges. Making up these rediculous lies will cause kids to doubt all warnings about drugs even the ones that are true.
 
scientology bullshit. the program they push is narconon drug rehab
they try to convert you to become a scientologist when you're in your most vulnerable place and charge you $35k for it!
the program was completely unsafe and unhelpful
taking mass doses of niacin(5g range), way too many vitamins till your stomach aches, running for 30 min and then sitting in a sauna for 5 hours a day and drinking cooking oil is not going to make you"sweat out drug toxins in your fatty tissues", because apparently all drugs store in your fatty tissues after use and when they release randomly it makes you want to use..
you do these things called objectives where that helps you "be more in touch with your environment", and you sit in a room for 7 hours a day locating things in it and how different objects have effects on each other, just random shit like that, people did objectives for as long as 4 or more months.
and they practically make you look up and define every word in the 8 books you have to read
that program was awful
...sorry i went off on a rant, i just have a lot of beef with that place. it's sickening they push that shit on kids.

Those health class drug projects were fun. I did mine on opiates, on opiates lol. You should either do MDMA or ketamine :)
 
Ok, so i'm sure the OP's project is already finished (how'd you do by the way?) but my two cents is do the project, or any similar project in the future, on ibogaine. back when I was in highschool I did an AP Biology project on Ibogaine and it blew the teachers mind -she'd never heard of the stuff or anything like it, and its really pretty hard to hear about what it can do for addicts and not immediately question why the hell it would ever be illegal.... oh yeah it was made schedule 1 back in the 60s when the government was terrified about lsd in the water supply and Hippy-Magic levitating the pentagon...
 
I think alcohol is a great choise because probably nobody else will do it and it will be a big shut the f to al those morons who don't think it's a drug. Do your research.

I remember this type of shit back in my high school health class. However I was the same age as everyone in the class at the time (14/15) but was still more experienced than the kids in the room.

When it came time for us to do our "project" on a certain drug, I was the FIRST ONE to raise my hand. The teacher picks me and I stand up and say "I want MDMA." And still, even after we've gone through our "overall summary" on all the drugs, 3/4's of the class turns and looks at me and starts saying "MDMA...MDMA...What's MDMA?" And I just said "ECSTASY!" "OHHHHHHHHHHHH."

Needless to say my presentation made some jaws drop. The teacher was obviously expecting each kid to present nothing but negatives and reasons why not to touch drugs and to demonize them. My presentation was the complete opposite. I know she would have tried to say that I "made up my facts" but then once I started pulling out my sources and shit she shut up. I got like an A on that project...lol
 
Bump. But it's better than making a new thread. I noticed DrugFreeWorld booklets being given out in my school's office. I want to complain, but I'm wondering how to go about it? Anyone have any suggestions?
 
^^ Yes, and focus on how something that can save lives and years of tormenting addiction was made illegal so that Big Pharma would not loose any profits due to the reduction in the illegal distribution of their narcotics as well as the reduction in opiate maintenance drug prescriptions. That could get you an A as long as BP doesnt own the school already.
 
my vote goes to heroin as well. I did a similar presentation on "medicinal uses of illicit substances" basically it was a debunking presentation with very reputable sources. shocked my teacher. it was pretty much a big "fuck you" to the drug education unit.
