Drug with the best effect and best for health?

sex

recreational drugs tend to be toxic. physically and mentally benign/smart drugs tend to be non-recreational

^awful drugs for people with a lot of anxiety like me

a crack comedown is one schizophrenic mess

Want to use Recreationally

Well I've been using drugs (not that many) since last summer when I started smoking weed. I don't want to make drugs my life or a full time thing (i.e being high 24/7). But I do want to use being that I'm not much of a drinker anymore. Would you say this list is a safe (terms of addiction, getting carried away) for me to use for this purpose?

DXM (lots of experience, overdid it WAY too much but in the last 2 months have only used once or twice)

Weed (not really asking, as I will smoke)

Opiates (don't have much access to them, but used vikes/percs occasionally in the past)

Ambien (have a script for it, don't really ever touch them though only abused once and that was only 15mg)

it would be a bit amoral for any of us to tell you taking any amount of drugs is safe, or recommend it for you. only you should decide what your comfortable taking.

In order of how safe they are from safest to most dangerous (imo)
1. Ambien
2. Opiates
3. Weed
4. DXM

People will call me crazy, but weed can really fuck you up mentally.
You should have a sitter on higher doses of ambien, and you probably won't remember most of what happened. Ambien is fun though.

Personally I think you have a special obligation to yourself to cut out the opiates.

I agree with this particularly, although no drugs are 100% safe to take. Furthermore, we do not know you well enough to gauge your particular risk of addiction, which is a cumulative factor based on many facets such as: genetics, childhood/early development, social standing, emotional factors, and psychological issues.

That said, I can only speak from personal experience. I experimented with many drugs, also starting with marijuana, and was able to keep my use at a recreational level. However, it took a very short time for opiate use to spiral out of control, and after trying my first Percocet (oxycodone+APAP), it took only three years for me to "evolve" into an IV heroin user. Ending that habit took another three years. Opiates are particularly addictive.

As lethe said:
only you should decide what your comfortable taking.

Take a look at your motivations, past behavior, the risks associated with each drug, and weigh that against your future desires. Then decide if the immediate pleasure they afford is worth the potential for future pain.

Weird in my head I had weed at 1 and DXM at 2. I've been smoking everyday for the last year , and I can say it has kinda fucked me up mentally in a way but now that I'm cutting back I am feeling back to normal. And I've used DXM many times over the last year even gone on three day binges and am quite fine. When I cut back the dissociative feeling while sober went away.

I can completely understand thinking weed is safe. Everyone seems to think that nowadays...
But DMX does severe brain damage quickly.

It hasn't been proven that DXM does severe brain damage though. Not saying I think it's good for you.

I think you should just stay away from opiates and ambien. Yeah it's recreational at first but then it becomes much more than that.

Opioid addiction sneaks up real fast without you seeing it coming. Once it has you, it's hard as hell to peel yourself free again. Just saying "be careful" or "respect them" doesn't even begin to describe how I feel about them. I also fucking love opioids.
