Drug Users Don't Have to Be Bad People

I didn't double check, but I'm not sure if this type of post is allowed (or I guess I should say that I don't know if it belongs in this particular forum).

That being said: I agree, being a drug addict does not automatically make someone a bad person. I myself am not a drug addict - and I honestly don't know anyone that is - but I've met some before. I never had a predisposition to think "ugh - this dude is hooked on yadda yadda? what low life scum". I always try to give people the benefit of the doubt and get to know them... drug addicts or no drug addicts. Besides, I'm in no damn position to try and judge someone I don't even fully know based solely off the fact that they can't control their drug use.

I honestly would call myself a drug addict because I just don't like being sober. Don't get me wrong I can be sober, I just choose not to. You wouldn't know I did a lot of drugs like a drug addict unless I told tell you. I am very productive none the less, I still go to school (college) and I have a decent job. I have an addictive personality hence the reason I'm a drug addict. Like I stated before I am very productive when I'm high. I hate just sitting around all high, I prefer to be cleaning or doing something because I don't want to be a typical drug addict. My drug of choice are opiates, yes they're downers, but I also do shards, coke, weed, and just about anything because I don't like being sober. Yes I understand my lifestyle is possibly the worst, but I'm just enjoying it day by day. I do plan on stopping everything in the future, more when graduation comes around. All in all, drug addicts can be just about anyone you meet, you wouldn't know some druggies unless they told you.
