Hey,

For 2 years I smoked marijuana on a daily basis or every second day. This is not anywhere near the amount of mental torture the majority of you have endured, but nevertheless I ended up with a psychosis. 5 years later I'm on the lowest dose of zyprexa moving along o.k.

I started smoking because I couldn't deal with the abuse at home and the pressure of school. I was on a scholarship student, traveling 3 hours everyday, doing a school certificate and other work, plus I'm quite sensitive.

Anyway I am going back to university next year and I think reverting back to pot would detrimental. Not only would it risk my mental health but in my field of study your body and mind must to be top notch to deal with the pressure.

I'm asking you guys and girls what would be a healthy way of keeping a lid on the pressures of life without risking health?

Cheers.

Life is full of stress and pressures. You need to find a healthy way of relieving them. I go to the gym on a regular basis. A strenuous workout leaves me feeling mentally and physically spent, in a good way. I sleep wonderfully and wake up feeling refreshed and ready for life.

1 go to the gym and lift a lot on a very regular schedule
2 make effort to find a girl- i find that keeps me very occupied and happy to have a goal. plus getting rid of a load is the most stress-relieving thing in the world
3 i would save this for a last resort but- find a different DOC. maybe try benzos or opiates- they dont really mess with your health but are extremely relaxing. but beware addiction.

Keep your eyes peeled for things you already do that relax you or make you feel good.

Yoga, meditation and exercise are terrific, but don't forget to pay attention to the slight variations in how you feel throughout your days, because you may discover a secret awesome thing hiding in plain sight!
