Drug 'trendy' among area's youth

lol doable probably! given enough time and isolating the right cannibanoids you could take all it's euphoric and pain killing potential and combine it with something that keeps you fairly clear headed and not paranoid. Crose enough =p

I don't believe cannabinoids are going to effect you the same way opiates are. It's basic pharmacology.

^ I disagree with that completely. even if marijuana's "genetics" were perfected, it still couldn't possibly appeal to everybody. some people might just not dig pot, and would like to entertain the idea of a different high
i think that is correct. Pot cant replace opiates and as long as big pharma introduces people to opiates, there will be users who want that rush heroin provides.

if pot was legally available and the genetics were perfected kids wouldn't fuck with hard shit. Bomb weed will get you just as lifted

Ive met more then a few people who hated weed but love opiates thats just the name of the game. Some people like some drugs but hate others. I like both opiates and weed but i like opiates more and theres no way cannabis could ever replace morphine for me.

So unless you can make up a strain of cannabis that acts as a mu opioid receptor agonist weed is not going to replace opiates for me.

uhh
i dont think weed=opiates in pain killing
is it just me or woul the DEA be ALL OVER weed for pain instead of oxycontin or something? The DEA would LOVE to take all the pharm opiates off the market i bet.
and i dont believe in weed's painkilling properties anyway, if youve got pain bad enough to warrant strong opiates weed isnt gonna help. weed im sure helps reduce inflammation but so do NSAIDs like tylenol, it seems to me that for real pain weed isnt gonna help like opiates will.

^^^^ Weed helps some forms of pain alot especially neuropathic pain i find. Even opiates alone don't treat some forms of neuropathic pain as good as say weed+opiates.

The reason cannabis is not being marketed for pain is because there is so much taboo behind it. If you think oxycodone or morphine is taboo amoung doctors they have nothing on cannabis.

^Exactly. I know more than a few people who use mj over opiates for pain management. Opiates don't reduce pain in everyone

I myself have a natural tolerance to opiates, so after a day or two or dosing morphine i no longer feel high or pain-free (even doubling the dose)

This is apprently in Utah someone said. And also someone else in an earlier post mentioned that they "doubted heroin use was prevalant in Southern Utah" to paraphrase them. I know for a fact that in Salt Lake City, Utah that heroin is now a widely availble drug there and they have a lot of heroin addicts in Utah.
Who woulda though Utah with the religious groups there, but then again no church groups have ever prevented anyone that wanted to use drugs to use them. Utah has according to a few people I know that lived there in the past few years a big Meth user and big heroin using population.
