Drug test question.

yesterday i IVed some Demerol...This morning my mother had asked me to piss in a cup for undisclosed reasons. I'm guessing that she asked me to do this was either because of a drug test, or that the doctor needed a sample. My question is, is it true that synthetic opiates such as demerol don't show up on the regular drug test?? Also since i IVed the demerol, wouldn't it be in my blood system for a much shorter time than it would if i had swallowed it? If so how long does it usually stay in someone's blood system?? I'm very anxious to find out some information....so any info will be greatly appreciated.

they both just did. follow the links, read between the lines. there is a VERY good chance that yes, youre going to be busted.

First of all, Demerol will show on a standard test, simply because it will cause the test to show positive for opiates.
They can confrim the test results and determine the substance and it's concentration in a lab with a GC/MS test, but most likely she is not sending your sample off to a lab. Rather she probably is using a standard dipstick test they sell to mom's at some grocery stores. Which are quite prone to malfunction and probably not sensitive enough to pick up amount the Demerol left in your system.
Demerol metabolizes out of the body quite fast, compared to other opiates, generally taking 24 hours at the most but usually less than that. You stated she asked you the next day for the sample, so odds are in your favor the drug was out of your system, or in such low concentration as to pass un-detected.
But on the other hand, a number of additional factors come into play. For example, if you are a habitual opiate user, then things are much different.
Also, for future referance, never give the first piss of the day as a sample, as it contains the highest concentration of drug metabolities. Also give the middle of the stream as the sample, and piss the beginning and end into the toilet, as they contain the highest concentration of metabolites as well...
In the end, this is a toss-up, you've cut it quite close, but there is still some cause for hope...
