Drug Strength Trends

I was just thinking about how so many people are always saying how certain drugs are not as strong as they used to be.

Have you observed an increase or decrease in the overall quality of a certain drug over time?

Weed has obviously gotten stronger, but what about the rest? Is most of the ecstasy really weaker than back in the 90's? Is heroin still as strong as it was in the early 2000's when it was becoming more popular? What about coke, meth, K, etc.....

Weed has gotten stronger since I've started smoking, LSD has seemed about the same (two hits for a good strong trip, very consistent every time).

Basically all the other drugs I do have FDA approval so I don't have to worry (in theory) about their purity fluctuating. =D

I thought they restricted access to their Microgram publication :(

Is there another clearinghouse for DEA analysis and other information about purity, etc?

The K in my area has been suprisingly much stronger than normal. I can i get a K-Hole going with only half a tenth! Normally takes much more for me. The Acid in my area has also been real good lately since is usually shit

i wish....

the dea microgram was a great publication and it sucks they restricted access to it by the no LE community.

in my area it seems like everything has remained pretty much nchanged for at least as long as i have been using for. MDMA quality has def gone down, i mean really it isnt an issue of quality of MDMA going down, there is no MDMA in the pills! i dont roll anymore so i dont know how easy it is to find good pills, but back in the day when i was rolling (2000) you would get a bad pill once in a while, but it was just weak...not some weird RC chemical.

weed has gotten better too id say. more ppl have access to dank weed so you dont see much AZ or mexi brick weed. there is more crappy beaters than ever before, they have pretty much taken the place of mexi weed.

heroin will always be constant in baltimore since there is a huge population of addicts. everyone knows someone who is either addicted, or was addicted at some point. plus all the dealers know that since heroin is everywhere, as long as you have decent product it will sell.

I think the trend is for drug strengths to only increase as we go into the future. The only thing I've noticed, at least in my area, is that is getting very hard to find MDMA but even that's getting better.

Coming from a 30 yr heroin addict, ME, I believe ALL drugs nowadays have gotten stronger! Especially the heroin. I remember back in the day when heroin use to come in "nickle" bags and in a bundle you'd get 24 bags... A LOT OF MONEY. I use to have to buy at least a bundle.
These days, in PHILLY, I can get high on 2 to 3 bags!

^ Nice to hear from a seasoned veteran. That's the kind of feed back I was looking for.

I just hear so many people saying E pills have gone to shit, and crystal meth isn't like it was in the 90's. Same thing about heroin, depending on who you talk to. That's why I brought up the topic.

In my time, Weed has gotten much stronger, and the extracts, such as hash, oil, etc have become more common and can be upwards of 75% THC.

Coke is undergoing a resurgence of sorts, but I would say it is way shittier because the dealers know they can sell it cut to shit to college kids or suburbanites.

Opium doesn't even exist (as far as I'm concerned) anymore, wish it did...

H seems to be getting stronger and stronger, and the price is plummeting ( wonder why it always seems so expensive???)

I think the best and most improved drugs would be pharmaceuticals, they brought back oxymorphone, started making 8mg Dilaudids, and greatly expanded the benzo "selection" as well as introducing GABA-gerics like Neurontin and Lyrica.
I would say there are many more strong pharms on the market now than there were previously.
