So, I'm in the market to buy a safe of or some sort of lockbox where I can keep my gear safely. I'm looking for something light that I can conveniently go to daily, yet secure with a digital (?) lock. And of course the correct dimensions to hold spikes, cooker etc. I think it would be interesting to hear how others carry/retain their paraphernalia.

I kept shooters kits in little boxes. Harbor freight has a locking gun box for $16, inside are little foam squares that allow you to customize fitted inserts for your gun (or gear) that would keep your stuff from flopping around. perfect for hiding under the mattress

really, go to your next bigger Headshop and they will give you what you need. I always buy my stuff to carry my cocaine when I#m out in headshops - really nice, cheap, not even thinking what you are doing with it then.
