Drug stash found at police station

^
Maybe they were looking for a possum?... :D

It may have been 1 or a number of cops, slowly adding tiny amounts of weed from small seizures each time they caught someone. Thinking they could build up a nice stash after a while without being noticed due to the drugs being seized and weighed. So if 0.1g of the weed is missing from a seizure any REAL police wouldn't notice. That's obviously complete speculation... who knows how it got there.

I hope they find these corrupt cops (even though I support full legalisation of marijuana), I say that because it's not about the weed to me, it's the fact they've committed theft and are hypocrites of the highest degree.

It'd be good to see the people responsible found out, and charged with the weight of the envelope included in the total weight - lets hope it's one of those bulkier/heavier envelopes for larger things to be sent through the mail ;)

It's been a while since this type of story has been in the papers. I remember reading a story about St Kilda police station, where a big bag of pills were found in the suspended ceiling. (some years ago I might add)

^not cleaners, drugs found during "routine maintenance work". Someone needs a better stash spot...

I just finished reading "Snouts in the trough" by Andrew Fraser (currently not for sale in Vic) which makes some fairly substantial allegations about police involvement with drugs, among other things. Worth a look if you get the chance..

Outlaw motorcycle gangs must have put it there. These criminal organisations are becoming so sophisticated that they're now hiding their drugs inside police stations. What we need is more laws.

I agree. And these dodgy maintance workers are furthering the problem by finding these drugs and making the police look bad. We need to bring in some laws banning finding evidence against the police.

For the childrens safety...

It's not HR related so I am kinda going against our new rule of 'no media unless it's HR related'.

I do think this deserves to be shown in Aus DD because it just shows the irony of prohibition and Aussie drug users are forever in the firing line of Victoria Police.

I love to hear stories like this, good find PsiloSubNaut..... love it =D
one must also remember its not just the VIC police, good % of QLD cops are not only cunts and users themselfs, but also utter sadists:X
sure that goes 4 the other states aswell but ive not experienced LE in any other than the above mentioned.

I hope they don't get caught. Nice to have a few people on our side from within the force.

Even though I know what you mean, I hate corrupt cops, they have less morals then either side, and are selfish selfish people.

A Victoria Police officer has resigned and an undercover operative remains suspended over allegations of fraud and drug offences.
Yesterday Age

And today on the same story:
A
SUSPENDED Victoria Police undercover operative suspected of selling stolen goods to sustain a heroin habit was given an all-clear by the force's drug testers in the months before the officer's arrest.
rest here
