ok now im not talking about using drugs as a dieting method or anything but more so maintaing a healthy diet in order to enhance the effects of a drug.... (i used the search engine but only came up with dieting methods)

we are all familiar with how people pre and/or post-load to enhance seretonine production thus enhancing ur roll. well theoretically that could be applied to any drug that inhibits the re-uptake or stimulates neurons into releasing endorphines or neurotransmitters (if i am remembering psychology correctly i believe the two are the same) ..

following that theory.if one does not already exist i propose to research this topic and share my results... if anyone is also interested let me know so we can collaborate all the information.

i was thinking that it would prolly be a good thing to have in the archives or at least on the boards... it would reduce harm in that people would need to use less of their particular necessary evil (j/k i know drugs are neither necessary nor evil) but for lack of a better phrase itll do...

So far for due to personal interest i have already collected information about cocaine and the neurotransmitters effected what is essential for their production and what foods they are commonly found in... this section of information will be complete once i find the damn link to a post i saw last weekend about the menstrual cycle, hormone production and the best time to use coke based on that.

i will add the information to this post as i complete the collection of information on each substance, as well as anything information that those interested have collected. all sources and contributors will and certainly should be documented.

obviously people have prolly had these ideas before but i couldnt find any complete or even helpful information by searching so anyone with links to similar posts will be helpful, appreciated, and credited if used as long as it is fairly accurate...

thanks and hope some of u are interested feel free to email or chat via AIM all my info should be in my profile...

later sera

so i just spent 25 minutes typing a reply to my own post and my freaking cat jumped on my keyboard and closed the window... damn puss....

as i had intended to say is that i have some of the information about a drug specific diet to show everyone an idea of what i mean incase there were any misunderstandings..
this is still in a rough draft version and is not meant to be considered accurate feel free to correct me if i am wrong about any of this information
as i said this is only theory, yet to be tested, and by no means encouraged for people to try at home...
Cocaine HCL

CNS stimulant that effects:

areas of brain: habenula and cell connections which play a role in release of the neurotransmitter: Dopamine (DA)

Also effected: the andrenergic nerve terminal (ant) which interact with the neurotransmitter: norepinepheine (NE)

these are the two key neurotransmitters that are stimulated/inhibited when a person consumes cocaine knowing how these work in the brain is necessary for safety therefore:
DA is the neurotransmitter (NT) that induces good feelings and or euphoria associated with things like love and happiness and such lack of DA is usually associated with depression and should be taken into consideration before consuming substances that effect DA.

NE is the neurotransmitter that regulates the re-uptake of DA from the synapses...

THerefore according to my theory a diet that enhances production of DA while maintaining or just slightly decreasing NE levels (maintaining them is more ideal cuz you dont want too much dopamine left in ur synapses. dont have any information on the effects of that other than it is oxidated by MAOs into peroxide...)

this is not complete but merely a somewhat short example of what i want to include in this... i want it to be very thorough here is just one of the links to one source of information

Coke also inhibits serotonin reuptake.

Norepinephrine is also responsible for euphoria, as well as for the 'alert' feeling from stimulants.

You can't, via a special diet, manipulate how much NE versus how much DA you make. Your brain generally makes NE from DA, and DA is generally made from tyrosine (an amino acid that you get from food).

In any case, I think just eating a good amount of protein and complex carbohydrates (whole grains) is the best way to boost catecholamines. I wouldn't worry about the DA/NE ratio too much -- just make sure that you have plenty of both. :)

Depending on where you live, you may be able to purchase DA precursors (either DLPA or L-Tyrosine.)

a diet for optimum health would also enhance the affects of drugs.

neurotransmitters are made from amino acids, which come from the protein we eat.

neuron receptor sites are 75% fat. for those sites to work properly a good level of essential fatty acids is needed, especially omega-3s.

also phospholipids help the message travel through the nerve.

foods that are low-glycemic allow more stable blood-glucose levels, whole grains and most vegetables.

antioxidants mop up free radicals which are responsible for the decline in brain cells as we age.

B vitamins are cofactors in the production of neurotransmitters. magnesium, iron, zinc, manganese, and chromium plus vitamin c are vital for brain power.

i personally take a multivitamin, l-tyrosine, and fish oil or omega-3.

Good point about the omega3/fish oil. I even feel sligthly stimulated for an hour after I take a capsule of fish oil. That stuff is amazingly good for you.
