Drug Sniffer Dog Dies of Overdose

^^it's natural for dogs to sniff things though (think - butts). This story couldn't get any better unless the drug in question was PCP and the dog ruthlessly killed the cops

read what ketamike wrote. What if my dog found a bag of meth on the ground and was sniffin at it and died. I found a gram of coke at a mobile gas station once. What if my dog sniffed a large enough quantity out of the bag to die. Unlikely, but possible.

yes, i read what he wrote. Dogs do sniff everything. but, in both your examples that would be an accident for a normal dog. these dogs are being trained to specifically sniff out drugs for a reward. if they die, it's an occupational hazard on the war on drugs. besides, dogs are not that stupid. normal dogs would probably be perturbed at synthetic chemicals. DEA dogs on the other hand find it rewarding. thus, the plugging. jk. lol.

the big picture is that the war on drugs is bullshit and it costs human and now animal lives too. what a waste.
