Drug of the year 2005/2006

In the UK, i'd say cokes making a massive comeback.

I mean, 5 or 6 years ago everyone i knew who smoked weed was either taking lots of beans or dealing them (i did both), but since a year ago charlie seems to be the new drug, anyone who has large quantities sells the stuff like that *clicks fingers* Pity i missed out by a year or so.

I can see crystal meth becoming the new "drug epidemic" in the UK; already lots of shock propaganda on the news/in the tabloids, and SWIM knows "an american friend" who can get a kilo's of the stuff (i myself have tried it once and am having nothing more to do with it; have had enough trouble with base/coek to last me a thousand lifetimes).
 
Definitly meth. I fucking hate the shit and pretty much everyone who uses it with few exceptions.
 
Perscription drug abuse, especially opiates such as oxycodone, are undoubtly the most popular drug so far in this decade.

I wouldn't be suprised to see DOC take that role by the time the 10's roll around however.
 
coke has recently exploded around here

before that it was mushrooms

some acid surfaced....but its already gone and i wonder if we will be getting more

it was a lot of fun :)
 
Hmm, from what I've seen I've got to agree that opiates/benzos, basically pharms, are the ones making it big.

Although recently in my town, psychedelics have been making a huge comeback, shrooms and acid becoming plentiful and cheap almost overnight.
 
Unfortunately I would have to say meth as well. Although I do not see it personally all that often on the North Eastern part of the states. With young college aged people it does not seem all that popular but in a bit older crowds I see H making a serious resurgence.

On the contrary, with young college aged kids in this area most all opiates are taboo (while they indulge in coke and beer, go figure).
 
I don't know about elsewhere in the nation, but here in Chicago coke is all the rage. I've looked and looked, but meth is fairly hard to find here. Coke is now as easy to find as weed is here.
 
here in new zealand its totally about meth ('P' and ice) at the moment, although E's starting 2 become more popular again since all the media hypes scaring ppl off meth now
its easy 2 get weed and meth here - there r even sum taxis that know the drug house routes and u can get a guided tour!
pharms r big in sum groups as r opiates and coke, but its all pretty hush-hush, generally u go thru the weed-and-P stage first before u even find anything else, and in the rave scene its easy as shit 2 score E when ur at clubs, and acid only takes a little more effort
mushrooms r plentful in autumn but again its a small group into them, and it takes sum searching 2 get hold of them

Right on. This is definitely how it is in Chi. I think all the major cities prefer coke, but meth is dominating the rural areas.
 
I'd have to agree with everyone that said meth, just because of all the attention it's been recieving. I've never even seen/heard of meth being around my parts (except maybe in a couple rolls), everyone around here does heroin (myself included). I've heard that's on the rise as well, and I'd have to agree.

Word, thats all we see in the media, meth ruined my life, meth made me go into a crazey psychosis and chop some chicks hands off with a samuarai sword 8o
