So I was sitting back thinking that well if Coke was a big 80's thing and Ectasy a (do to the rave culture peaking) 90's thing. What is the drug of this decade.

I hope the answer is not meth as I did it in the 90's and wont touch the shit now days.

I mean there has to be something new and great and hip to lead the way. I mean are we truly in an age of there is nothing new under the sun?

In Australia esctasy seems to be the main drug. (apart from weed which is always everywhere)

research chems?? I dunno....

At first I thought ecstasy, but I guess you're right...it was in the 90's.

Hate to say it but personally I would think that methamphetamine is on the rise in popularity and one of the most talked about substances lately... I'm an occasional user myself... weaning myself off it slowly though... Or I agree with Jwlst who mentioned ecstasy... it's pretty much what seems to be the most popular thing in Australia...

If I had to say what MY drug of the year for 2005 was - it would definitely be acid... =D

ooooh and on a side note... dis is my 500th post... :P

Yes, meth use is defintly on the rise in Australia but I still think meth is still looked down upon by many compared to the general acceptance of esctasy use by the average Australian.

Depends where really. Britain used to have that out of control pill scene which still to an extent exists today but now there's more acceptance of ketamine and all that. In Australia there is absolutely no doubt (statistics will surely show) that ecstacy is easily the main drug and the one which has had the most impact on culture.

Don't know about the US... are RCs getting at all mainstream over there? Here in AUS 99.5% of people have never even heard of them. I'm guessing meth has a tight grip on a lot of states?

Coke is is making a major comeback over here , everybody is into it.

it's a shame really

Well in the past year Heroin was definetely my drug of choice, and acid was the most enjoyable drug experience. Its just that acid is not available like dope is. I had probably a total of 75 hits in my posession and ate about 7 hits. I sold the rest to be nice and because I thought I could get plenty more. :( Oh well, its not like you can trip all the time anyways.

So it appears that meth is taking the lead. Hum I was hoping some one had somthing new and crazy to mention.

I dont think RC's as in my opinion most of them are a one off. Except for 2C-B which is fucking awesome and hard to obtain.

Coke, it's always been the drug that has the most money dedicated towards it in the United States economy. More people may smoke weed, but coke is definitely the drug that fuels almost all the people in high positions in America.

Pharms and meth, I'd say.

What makes you say that it fuels almost all the people in high positions in America?

Opiates are making a comeback, slowly but surely. Look for opium bars/dens in your local area in the year 2010.

Pharms.

Partially related, I think there's been an increase in H usage in my town/surrounding towns. Start out with OC's, move on to H, pretty much.

It's well known. I think everyone knows that all the CEO's of massive companies have little parties with lots of champagne and coke. Plus, since it's the drug with the most ammount of money spent on it and a lesser number of users then marijuana. Thus, causing us to assume that the average cokehead is pretty rich.
