Drug of the 2000s?

prolly be a hell of an addictive drug tho. the coke high plus eye candy and philosophical thoughts. it just might give meth or junk a run for its money. i shudder to think at the fens strung out on it lol
 
Yeah thats true. Everyone would be taking it to clubs and what not and abusing the living shit out of it lmao. But as for me, I would want the combination of ecstasy, acid, and pot. I would want my mind having those visuals and creative thoughts, and feeling empathetic and having that utter happiness and confidence E gives you. Pretty much it having an enormous impact on the way you perceive things mentally, then having those body rushes you get from E and Pot. You'll feel like some sort of 1,000 year old, wise sage that just smoked some really good herb or some shit haahahah.
 
just thought of something a drug about tactile feelings something that intensifys the way you feel shit when you touch it. cuz who doesnt love feeling things when your rolling. maybe even a drug that enhances all the senses taste hearing smell sight touch and maybe even intuition and the way you percieve things. i can see that being a huge hit for all sorts of people. can you imagine how awsome sex would be with such a drug
 
i think a nootropic drug as well can be a huge trend. a drug that enhances thought process cognition and so on could be a valuble rescource in an increasingly hectic and technologically oriented lifestyle. and how awsome would it be to have a drug that makes you feel good and makes you more productive. stimulants for the mind not the body could be very big
 
Yeah we definitely need something that enhances everything. Like a super mega drug thats almost a combination of everything. Enhancing every sense and making it enjoyable to use recreationally, or spiritually, yet it allows you to have the most perfect clarity and ( like you said ) enhances your productivity level just like an amphetamine. Apart from the addiction rate it might have and abuse, it will probably have more positive effects than negative if it allows you to go down the right path of things.
 
As far as what has gotten media attention and been labeled an "epidemic" in the 2000s, I'd say it's:

2000-2003: Ecstasy/Meth
2004-2007: Prescription opiates
2008-2010: Research chemicals (Spice, mephedrone, etc.)
 
Mephedrone certainly comes to mind...
Cheap, quasilegal, pure, available, popular, fun, dangerous, moreish.

^^ MDA is pretty close to that... less euphoric than MDMA, not as empathogenic, but definitely some crazy visuals.
The next hit drug will be something like Dexamyl-(which was a combo of d-amphetamine and amobarbital (a barb) common in the 1960s Brit Mod culture) but instead of a barb, it'll be d-amp and a benzo in the same pill, it'll have to have some crazy formulation in it so you can pop it before work, the d-amp will keep ya going, and the benzo (probably alprazolam) will not kick in until you're starting to comedown, so you can have a gentle evening... but that probably isn't logical.
Anyway, after a decade of opiates and benzos, it's time for there to be some sort of powerful stimulant that an entire culture will assemble around. Tweaking (pun intended) the d-methamphetamine or d-amphetamine molecule to make it stronger? Perhaps. Eh I'm jonesing for some stims (I can't take any now 'cuz I'm not down to be up all night), I haven't taken any for almost 2 weeks... so take this with a grain of salt
tl;dr, the new drug will be either some sort of amphetamine/benzo combo or just a stronger version of d-methamphetamine or d-amphetamine
 
If only they could produce an opioid RC that was as similar to the likes of oxy, hydromorphone, etc...., as mephedrone is to MDMA/speed.
 
come on people aren't we supposed to be the enlightened, outside-the-box, philosophical section of society and we can't even come up with a new drug that we would like... just pinching and mixing effects from other drugs that we could most probably get through some combination of already existing drugs
not saying that i can think of anything better but surely theres more in the human mind and body that can be stimulated
how about a drug that makes it desirable to interact with other people and makes you a desirable person to interact with to a straight/sober person who doesn't know anything about drugs
THAT would be the ultimate drug imo

In my area.... BLUES... those 30mg IR oxy's. It's a freakin epidemic around here. It feels like EVERYONE aged 18-30 is taking them and the majority have some degree of dependence. Other worthy mentions - alprazolam and synthetic cannabinoids.
