Sorry if this is a repost or in the wrong forum..

As it stands, Getup has 488 votes in favour of drug law reform which places it
18th in the list of campaign priorities for the organisation

Maybe it is time some bluelighters start putting their money where their mouth is and help bring some full page newspaper and TV ad's to national attention.
If nothing else it would be a great "up yours" to the government.

Thanks for sharing this, while it might be a long way from top of the list, every vote counts and perhaps one day this issue will get the attention it deserves.

There is now 521 votes!
National Abortion decriminalisation is ranked at 14th with 574 votes and a campaign has already been started.

I am suprised that there has only been one comment in this thread. Here is a big chance to make a difference and bluelighters are all apathetic.
Maybe its the drugs... I hear they do that

Wow having a look through the site, these people actually get things done! Definitely worth everyone's 10 seconds to vote :D

To update:

Getup has refused to campaign on this issue

Twice as many votes as the nearest issue in their campaign suggestion blog and they won't touch it.... probably because their political handlers don't want them putting effort into anything that could actually upset their apple cart
Utterly pathetic. They will never get another cent of mine

Make sure you send em a nice letter saying why.
Pathetic scum have even shut down the thread now because of the tsunami of criticism that was heading for their shores

Getup are (insert explicitive here) I also sent a letter to them saying I won't be giving them anymore money and will be telling my friends and relatives not too as well.

I have been vary wary of getup since the internet filter donation debarcle. Apparantly they took a lot of the money donated for the anti-censorship campaign and used it elsewhere. Very dishonest mob.

They also once sent an email out with a To and CC of every members email and full name.
