I posted about this in another thread, but I wanted to start a new one dedicated to this particular subject.
I recently had to go to the doctor because of this nasty muscle pain I've been experiencing in my shoulders and neck, and a stiffness and pain in my legs. She now thinks it's an interaction between the suboxone and the celexa I've been taking for years. She and my psychiatrist asked me to briefly taper off the Celexa, and come back next week and let her know what's happened. They also drew blood.
However, I've been on the same dose of suboxone for the past six weeks now. It's only in the last couple weeks that the pain happened. I've also had jerky movements in my legs and back when I'm trying to relax or sleep. It's nothing that keeps me awake, but it's still something I've noticed since I've started taking subs altogether. Also, the suboxone clinic keeps noticing my liver functions are elevated whenever they draw my blood. When I told my doctor about that, she noted that when I had my physical in July, my liver was just fine. But she seems to be concerned that if we can't nip this in the bud, that it could lead to a seizure.
Needless to say, I'm pretty scared. I won't be at my peak the next four days I have to be at work, but I'd rather not have a seizure. I'm also scared that maybe I can't be on subs after all, and then I won't have them keeping me from using dope. OR, that it might be something completely unrelated, but bad nonetheless.

Hmmm This doesn't really make sense to me. I've never heard of any drug reactions like this.

I think I might know what you are talking about by "random jerky movements" sometimes. Like an involuntary flex of a leg or something sometimes randomly. But as far as the back/neck pain I have no idea. Keep us updated though. Hopefully the Dr.s will be able to figure out whats going on...

The jerking of my legs and back have been going on since I started using subs, but the doctor at the sub clinic says that's not supposed to be a side effect.
For all I know, this isn't even sub-related, and maybe I've got something serious like Fibromyalgia. 8o

Did I just read that right? You're on citralopram n suboxone like me n the last fee days I'm experiencing the most brutal pain in my leck n side of head. I thought
It may be because I have optic atrophy n I'm looking very close to my phone / computer a lot but with reading this. How do they come to the idea that it may be the celexa n suboxone? If you don't mind me asking how long have you been on them for???
I hope you feel better soon. Sorry to mention me on your thread this is just uncanny.

Sounds like it could be Lyme Disease to me. I had it and had pain in the neck and my legs were having what they call petit mal a partial seizure from the waist down. They treated me with Doxepin which was a 30 day supply and when it was all done they said I never had lymes disease which is a secret epidemic and is covered up to prevent panic and never really goes away and is hard to prove you have it because like syphlis its the only disease that goes in and out of your cells and anti-inflamatories especially cause it to hide. Spinal tap? read up on Lyme you dont always get a bullseye rash either to prove it's lyme I didnt.

Check for lymes disease same thing happened to me they treated me for it then i had every reaction to the anitbiotic and then they said i never had it. It's a pandemic thats being covered up to not cause panic and they are going after people that can prove it. If antibiotics Doxepine make you very sick at first then you know you have Lymes and you will only get a 30 day supply of antibiotics and Lymes never goes away the only relief i ever get is if i can get antibiotics somewheres then i feel good for a week while on them other than that im in chronic pain. Good Luck I had partial seizures from the waist down too and they gave me Neurontin/Gabapentin and that stopped the petit mal seizures.
