Ive just started working out again to get back into shape. I used to be in really good shape before i fucked my shoulder right up years ago and i want to get back into decent shape anyway. I thought taking creatine might give me a boost but i am somewhat worried about drug interactions with it. I know your not supposed to take NSAIDs with it but that's pretty much all i could find.

If anyone knows if lamotrigine, gabapentin, bupropion and seroquel would interact with creatine i would greatly appreciate some input.

Mods if this is not in the right place please move it.

I don't believe it would have any interactions as I have taken creatine with most of what you listed aside from the first one. I was told to think of creatine as like a vitamin/mineral in that its not a psychoactive drug. hope your shoulder is doing better. :) eat big, lift big, sleep big, GET BIG.

Creatine is one of the safest bodybuilding compounds out there because it doesn't interact with prescription drugs and isn't psychoactive.

You are in the clear bro.

One time this guy passed me a joint at a party laced with creatine. I woke up 4 days later covered in blood and semen on the other side of town.

Creatine. Not even once.

Not srs.

It's about as safe as chicken IMO.

reminds me of the other creatine thread lol. that thread deserves best of bluelight status.

Creatine enhances cognition and is neuroprotective. So, other than making you stronger, it is a gold-standard supplement. Actually, I wouldn't even call it a supplement, more like a necessity in our high demand culture.

Neuroprotection

Improves DA cell survival in models of PD. (PMID: 16355565, PMID: 15890457)
Improves survival of striatal GABAergic neurons. (PMID: 16045451)

Cognition Enhancement (Nootropic)

Reduces mental fatigue during simple task repetition and increases cerebral oxygen utilization. (PMID: 11985880)
Improvement in cognitive function on almost all tasks studied in elderly individuals. (PMID: 17828627)
Decreases variability in responses to a choice reaction-time task in healthy individuals. Also improves memory in healthy vegetarians, who presumably have lower baseline creatine intake. (PMID: 21118604)
Improves memory in healthy volunteers and reduced fMRI BOLD signal, indicating possible increase in efficiency. (PMID: 20570601)
During sleep deprivation, improves PFC-loaded tasks relative to placebo. (PMID: 16416332)
Improves executive functioning.

Mood Enhancement (Anti-depressant)

Beneficial effects on unipolar depression in a small trial. (PMID: 17988366)
During sleep deprivation, improves mood. (PMID: 16416332)
Shows antidepressant effects in females only in rodents. (PMID: 19829292

You get creatine from red meat and other foods that we eat all the time, and it occurs naturally in the human body so there are no drug interactions. Apparently though if you take it with crack it increases the effects. Smoke a big pipe of crack before each bench press and you will add 20kg to your lift each time.

your logic should mean grapefruits don't cause interactions (yet they do). and lol at "smoke a big pipe of crack"

/plz stop bumping threads for no reason tho! like half of today's updates for me are your posts!!!
