Not really urgent but answers after the next hour will be very unhelpful...

So, I decided that I was going to dose after class today because I don't have class tomorrow and my recent mushroom trips were all too social to be as introspective as I wanted. I have not taken LSD for a month or so (after taking like 5 tabs for Lotus over Xmas break). I'm going to start with two tabs and move to anywhere between 3 and 5 taking no doses later then 8am.

I took my prescription vyvance 60mg a little late today, (4:30 so I will be up all night anyway) and am wondering what interactions I should be expecting. Reliable sources indicated that it will just compliment the already speedy feeling of the acid but should not affect my trip due to the difference in neurotransmitters affected (dopamine in amphs opposed to serotonin for LSD) but was wondering about personal experiences, preferably of a higher level prescription dose + LSD rather then recreational combination but both are welcome.

(Vyvance is very similar to other ADHD meds so feel free to post any experiences with these combos, just spec the drug and amount.
 
I've taken LSD while on dextroamphetamine, 15 or 30mg... Can't remember its been years ago, but I know i had the 15mg capsules. From what i recall the trip seemed pretty much normal, for a trip anyway. I think I may have smoked more cigarettes than usual.
 
I have no experience with this drug combination but you are correct about the receptor sites. Also reember that while we don't know exactly the method by which LSD interacts neurologically, but it's close enough to be called an SSRI.
 
LSD acts as a serotonergic agonist and fucks with the serotonin balance in your brain, some weird shit. Amphs tend to reverse dopamine transport (they also act on serotonin in very specialized areas of the brain)

Um....no. An SSRI stops serotonn from being taken up again thought the synapse, therefore allowiing it to stmulate serotonergic signals for longer. That is why the first few weeks on an SSRI can be weird; the extra serotonin at certan receptor sites (5HT3c) is thought to cause anxety/stimulation, until the body downgrades receptors so the "extra" serotonin has less targets to bnd to.

LSD doesn't effect levels of serotonin. LSD mimicks serotonin at ONE main receptor sub-unit; 5HT2A; neurotransmission is still possible but is modulated differently by LSD then by serotonin- this modulation is called "tripping" or wormholing. Serotonin levels remain intact. Reality turns into a jigsaw puzzle.

"LSD acts as a serotonergic agonist" - this means it mimics serotonin, the receptor site of the mimic is up for hot debate. I never claimed it increased production, or i would have said "blocks Serotonin reuptake". This is a side convro, not the subject of the thread there was no need to act as if we were being foolish. You repeated my correction for Carps post in different words....

Or it could be that acid actually alters the fabric of time and space. I'd vote that one in.

Its an antagonist of the receptor site. It changes how your brain perceives serotonin not how much is actually in your brain like so MDxx compound would
 
LSD+amphetamine is one of the better combos. It's not candyflippin', but it feels great.
