drug interactions between methadone and E

Methadone, like most opiates, make me sweat alot.
I take 90mg of methadone a day. Would taking a few Ecstasy pills tonight be very dangerous.
I was curious, if the e would have any negative interactrions with the methadone or because of how much I sweat on opiates, if there is more chance of overheating?
 
The overheating seems to have to do with problems regulating overheating. In other words your body is too hot but isn't taking the proper steps to cool down. My guess is your constant sweating on methadone would actually be a plus.
I think but im not sure that most opiates tend to lower body temprature. Please correct me if im wrong.
Also I don't have my reference book in front of me now but the only bad interaction I could see would be if methadone had some interaction with CYP 2D6. I really doubt it does (especially given the long half-life).
 
Well fuck me. That was an educated guess both from them being CNS depressants and the fact they seem to increase sweating. So I was guessing that they both reduced the generation of heat and increased the dissipation.
I would be really curious if you have a link about that or an explanation of how they do that. If they increase body temp all the standard warnings about high temp increasing e neurotox would apply. Tho I guess it would be a second question of whether opiates+E increase nuerotox.
 
YOU ARE RIGHT! I phoned my pharmacist, the site I read was wrong. Opiates do DECREASE temp.

you'll be fine. i have been on methadone for 2 years. 80mgs of diskettes. i was on the liquid. the liquid made me sweat something fierce. it was so aggravating. i have ate x many times while being on methadone. you'll be ok.
 
the first few times i rolled after starting done i did find i had big issues with overheating, and intense body heat when vomiting.
i reduced the amount of ekky i took at once, and i haven't had any problemns since.

I also rhink you'll be fine taking some E, I've never seen or heard of any problems with mixing the two.
 
only probs i have had with methadone is xanax and alcohol. these two mixed with done can be fatal. i dont eat benzos anymore. i'll lose my take homes. not worth it considering the clinic is 50 minutes away.
 
^^ Yes it didn't come out right. What is meant is that the overheating on E seems to be due to problems with the body's systems designed to cool itself down rather than a readjustment of your internal thermostat.
In other words if you stay cool your body won't try and raise your temprature over what it could have been but if you get too hot it will not appropriatly respond.
