Drug Interactions: Actigall, Symbicort?

Hey bluelighters, need some drug interaction help again, for another soon-to-be first time roller.

He has Cystic Fibrosis, and is on a fair amount of antibiotics, all of which I've been able to check via google, and his doctor. He's also on something called: Actigall, or Ursodiol. This appears to be some sort of liver regulating drug, but doesn't seem to have any effects that would be harmful on MDMA, but I can't really be certain, so I'm hoping someone on here knows.

The other drug he is on is Budesinol (sp) which is the active ingredient in Symbicort, and other nasal steroids. A quick BL search seems to confirm that there would be no negative interactions with this drug, can anyone else confirm?

There are no known serious interactions, however I suggest he inform his doctor, or if he can't, that he start with 1/4 or 1/2 tablet before the event and see how he responds.

Thank you...I looked everywhere, and couldn't really find anything definitive. I was planning on him informing his doctor anyway, and since it will be his first time, he was already planning on starting at a low dose. Thanks again for the response!

As always let me say that I'm no doctor and all I can offer you is my personal opinions from what I can find on the net about each drug.

As for Actigall (Ursodiol): from what I can tell it seems like it'd be fine. The only thing I might caution you on for this would be the use of Tums or other such ant-acids some take to help with come-up nausea. I would avoid this practice with this medication. Also from the listed side effects diarrhea, and nausea are listed as possibles as well as joint and muscle pain. Since these are all things that can also be associated with MDMA usage it'd be important to understand that this medication may make them more severe and/or last longer. Make sure he/she understands the risks.

Anti-biotics: Generally these are considered safe to mix with MDMA however it should be noted that certain anti-biotics inhibit one of the enzymes that break the substance down. If you do a google search for "Anti-biotics MDMA interaction" you should be able to fairly easily find several lists of anti-biotics that can do this.

Budesinol (sp) which is the active ingredient in Symbicort: This seems to be: Budesonide (which is combined with Formoterol (eformoterol) to create Symbicort). From what I can tell it would seem this one is safe as well however like the Actigall some of the side effects should be noted and you should be aware of potential increasing of severity/occurrence. These side effects include: upset stomach, dry-mouth, muscle cramps.

For me each experience with MDMA is a Risk-VS-Rewards situation. One must way the risks and evaluate the potential reward to determine if it is worthwhile for them to proceed. The ONLY one capable of making this decision will be the one with the risks. He or she will need to decide if it's worth it for themselves. Personally these risks seem relatively minimal but that's only for me personally. The other key factor is why is this person taking these drugs to begin with? Someone on a "fair amount" of anti-biotics is pretty ill. Is this illness something that will go away or subside or is it directly tied to the cystic fibrosis and will never diminish? In other words is there a possibility of waiting until he/she is more stable and healthy or is their condition stable as it?
