Did you ever try making your own? but as a concentrated botanical tincture (not a regular drink). As simple as buy botanicals, steep in vodka & forget about it for a few weeks.
I made wornwood hash decades ago which was definitely psychoactive with trippy qualities.

Hyssop, star anise and fennel seeds are pretty inexpensive. Adding basil, allspice, cinnamon and black pepper would likely introduce certain psychedelic qualities, wormwood is optional, and yes - turmeric works also. The supermarket herbs & spices aisle is for over 18s only.
