Anyone learn something about themselves while under the influence?

It doesnt have to be specifically psychedelics.

Used to. Now drugs just prevent me from having revelations. If you have too many revelations too fast on drugs it becomes much harder to have them in real life. I don't want my special experiences to come only from drugs, so I'm trying to slow things down.

On a high dose of LSD I concluded that our minds and consciousness is an emergent property of a purely physical process and thus can theoretically be simulated (and emulated) by a powerful enough computer. My reasoning behind this is if a chemical is powerful to change the most fundamental properties of our identity then there is no part of our identity which is outside the laws that govern this process.

I finally saw that the stars were 3-d they had depth, it wasn't just a starry flat map... WOW my mind was BLOWN....This was while sitting in a hole dug by hand in a TX hill country hayfield... I stabbed a 100 dollar knife into a tree to go back and revisit, like a trip time capsule! am i the only one that thinks thats a good idea?

I recently realized while on acid at a festival that I have been killing my creative potential with my IV opiate use. Since the trip, I have had way fewer cravings. :D
