Critics, such as Drug Free America Foundation and other members of network International Task Force on Strategic Drug Policy, state that a risk posed by harm reduction is by creating the perception that certain behaviours can be partaken of safely, such as illicit drug use, that it may lead to an increase in that behaviour by people who would otherwise be deterred.

Taking about on methadone and heroin maintinence therapys or needle exchange:

We oppose so-called `harm reduction´ strategies as endpoints that promote the false notion that there are safe or responsible ways to use drugs. That is, strategies in which the primary goal is to enable drug users to maintain addictive, destructive, and compulsive behavior by misleading users about some drug risks while ignoring others.
"Statement on so-called 'Harm Reduction' polices" made at a conference in Brussels, Belgium by signatories of the drug prohibitionist network International Task Force on Strategic Drug Policy "

......Yes of course. Cause its much better to let these people just rot in the ground and give them agonizing cold turkey WD as the only treatment option. Yea that has REALLY worked good in the past. Yes lets get rid of needle exchange so more HIV can be spread too because thats "how we roll". MMT is just a substitute drug for people who are too weak. Subutex? Nah we don't support that either. And heroin maintenance for people who have failed all other treatments and are at their last ends??? Nah, lets just have them rot in the circles of the black market streets and jails until they drop dead. Then we can wave our backward's fingers at them and say "I told you so". Because jail, death, and prohibition is MUCH more cheap than workable treatment programs? I myself am on MMT, which you think is wrong. Do you wanna take away my MMT treatment too so I can lose my stability and job that I got being on MMT because it looks like I'm "supporting drug use" in your dumb little backwards brains?? But you could care less about my job, and rather making your point across with laws that make people dependent on drugs as miserable as possible so you can treat them as children?Right Dug Free America?....Seems you weaseled your way to Brussel Europe to tell them your stupendous idiotic thinking. Why the hell are you in europe anyway? Are you trying to attack their more progressive nature on harm reduction whille making yourself look like an typical backward idiot among germany, nethetherlands, swizerland and denmark? Is Brussels like your last hope in Europe to prevent their expanding HAT programs?

This place can just die. Please just die... Go have someone stick a 12 foot spear in your arses and have them impale you poor excuses for a human beings. And please die slowly as you can. And when you beg for pain medication in your impaled ass state, I will tell you 'no, sorry, none for you".

Drug Free America is a shining example of American fascism.

Growing up in North Carolina, I got my fill of their two-faced bullshit, that's for sure. And the sad part is that I believed every word until I personally felt what it's like to suffer from acute opiate withdrawal, after-which my mind was forever changed.

Somehow I still recall it like it was yesterday:

A woman who reeked of tobacco smoke puffing away on a bitch-stick ciggy while having us read to her about the severe dangers of the "gateway drug" marijuana. One time and you're hooked! /smh

These people are no better than con artists in my opinion. They have zero credibility. They contradict themselves through their actions. Yet, at the end of the day, their pride drowns their logic, and ignorance + denial continues to control their lives.

Put these people on the spot with some tough questions regarding their own habits, regarding the lack of progress after 4+ decades with respect to the War on Drugs, and so forth. Watch them begin to blush and stutter.

"Ummm... ummm... ummm...."

Considering the fact that recreational drug use is one of the few things that transcends race, ethnicity and class in the USA, I doubt that America will ever be "drug free", LOL.

^ This is so true.
It even exists in apparently every culture in the world, including so many extinct cultures for which we have records.
People in prohibition cultures will do anything - my friend who lived in Saudi Arabia said they would drink cologne to get drunk.
Recreational drug use is not even uniquely human.
The birds in my childhood backyard would eat fermented, fallen plums and lose the ability to fly with their drunkenness.
Cats go crazy for catnip.
You can't even really clearly distinguish food and drugs. Draw the line on which side of chocolate, coffee, tea, ...?
Altering your consciousness is a basic part of the human experience here.
We do it in sleep, we seek it through thrills, or meditation, or even just seeking to win the game to alter our consciousness with the fact of being a winner, etc.
Life is essentially just alternating consciousness with an identity assigned to it -
And we use fuckloads of drugs ("foodrugs").

The worst part is these people want to get rid of needle exchange programs. Meaning they don't care if addicts die from AIDS from sharing needles. Their policies are dangerous to general health and safety regarding needles. Limiting needle exchanges is the worst thing to do ever. Or maybe these people think AIDS is a punishment for addiction and they deserve it? That is more the vibe I get from them.

During alcohol prohibition, it would be these jerks who would probably be touting the dangers of alcohol too in big signs. While completely ignoring the black market crime prohibition caused. If anything they'd probably want to bring the train wreck of prohibition back too if they could. Take away MMT and subutex because it looks like were "supporting addiction and drug use" and return to the old days of 15 year incarceration jail terms for possession. Treatment would be forced cold turkey with no medications. Even though cold turkey has a less than 5% success rate. Obviously they haven;t looked at the epidemic in Russia where harm reduction is illegal and addicts are dying in droves.

These people are dangerous to the medical communities and need to be abolished. They don't know anything about addiction and their proproganda is harmful to peoples lives. DHS and SAMSHA need to to blacklist this place as extremist and dangerous to ones health.
