Drug for person who likes dreaming

if the san pedro allows you acess to its wonders, then its probaby one of your best options....

for me it is the meeting point of being asleep and awake. i both dream and am awake when i am with the san pedro. while the dream state is very vivid, i cannot remember it being lucid ever. however there is lucidity in the fact that even when peaking on a high dose, one is completely coherent.

and also, when i've eaten pedro regularly for a few months i got lucid dreams every night. deeeep lucid dreams too, where you can control any aspect of the dream, and choose what you do. lol, i started instinctively meditating in my lucid dreams, and that send me through the roof.

:)

opium - this produces a strange half-sleep, half-awake state with very vivid dreams. Poppy tea will do the same.
this was my favorite part of the pods. not very pleasurable physically but my imagination and dreams really flourished under the influence.

In my eyes both DMT and K bear nor resemblance to lucid dreaming in anyway shape or form.

Lucid dreaming is essentially a funky near real playground.

My advice would be nodding on an opiate (I would go for opium) or there are a few rather obscure rc's that promote incredibly realistic cevs that carry a sort of story and thus create a very dream like state.

2CT4 and MMDA are what you would need for that.

There are a fair amount of plants that can induce dream states, nicotine patches will provide enough stimulation to enter a lucid dream state on a non smoking user.

I wouldn't want to use them regularly as the mechanism for creating an awareness of the dream really reduces the level of sleep, and would probably be fairly noticable if used regularly.

i think you need something easy going. DXM provides this (at lower doses). Start off with 200mg and youll notice that reality is like a dream. You may need more depending on your chemical makeup. But 150-200mg is great for me. And you will be well fucked up on it too.

And never take deliriants. They DO NOT provide the pleasurable dreamy state in anyway IMO.

gimme a PM if youve never taken it and need some pointers, more info, or just some personal experience.

Felix is, in my opinion, very much correct in naming nicotine patches. Swim put on four 14mg patches (after previous experimentation with fewer!) while coming off amphetamines and after a few hours of half-sleep euphoria entered a bizarre and wonderful lucid state with psilocybin-like closed eye visuals and a lightning storm in his face. I will post (in a new thread and in the appropriate forum) swim's experiences with nicotine alone and in combination with other substances as they relate to sleep and semi-sleep trippiness.

Leaving snus in my mouth while napping during a time with no nicotine tolerance caused some crazy and vivid dreams. But the patch thing (I believe it also holds true with varenicline) has been shown to be effective.

My strongest vote would go towards dissociatives, they cause the most interesting dream-vision states of anything I've tried, and don't come with the same risk level as chasing a nod.

I haven't tried any of the oneirogenic herbs though, I'll get around to it some day (when I've moved away from my more serious drug use trends). Also, so far as reviving five year old threads go, this was a pretty cool one to choose.

^ Yeah it does a bit.. but it's not impossible or even that hard (I have trouble sleeping after pretty much ANY drug minus GABAergics)..

Your sleep is a lot shitter but the crazy vivid dreams are worth it.. I've woken up and decided to take the patch off during the night before and had no trouble getting back to sleep straight after with no problems.

Sometimes when I'm in the mood and reading a fictional book whilst low dose tripping on 2c or LSD I can picture the plot of the book and characters in vivid detail and motion (about three times as much as normal like a intense daydream) whilst reading the words (I do read about half as slow as normal as it's hard to concentrate on both brain movie and text at the same time).

Also quitting weed (or smoking in first half of the day at least) if you are a chronic smoker will see a lot of improvement with the clarity and recall of your dreams.

Diphenhydramine?

If we're talking about delrium doses then yeah i guess so.. it's like living in a real life nightmare :\

you can always go for the ol' stimulant/sleep aid combo, like amphetamines and ambien. i've screwed around with it and enjoyed it, and i've have a couple of friends who have said that physically it was the most beautiful altered state they had ever achieved. although this book may be more useful to you:
FuBcr.jpg

most of it covers things that can be used to aid lucid dreaming, i don't quite remember how much info it has over achieving an "awakened dream" state.

Lucid dreaming you say?

Dunno if i already mentioned it in this thread (i have in many others) but I quickly became pretty good at achieving a lucid dream state..

Set your alarm for 3 - 5 hours before you normally wake up. Get up. Walk around for 5 - 10 mins (i used to eat a mars bar) while constantly thinking: This is a dream, I'm dreaming, This is a dream, I'm dreaming, etc, etc.. Then go back to sleep.. all the while thinking those 2 lines.. It took me less than a week to be able to lucid dream 60 - 80% of the time...

Seriously give it a go.. Lemme know if it works or not :)

ive heard of people training themselves to acieve lucidity during dreaming as well. but this is a case where each persons psychological profile comes into play....

ive also found that lucid dreamig requires the mind to be relaxed and not tired.

Seconded, at least for ketamine and DXM. There's a lot of visions in the hole that are about as far from a dream as you can get, but "mind movies" similar to dreams were pretty common for me as well for those two.

For enhancing dreamstates, definitely melatonin.

Most odd way I've ever gotten the dreamy brain movies: after long days of exercise (day hikes will do it occasionally), I (rarely) get rather vivid closed eye images / brain movies / etc. when I prepare for sleep, no compounds required. From what I've read this could be described as a hypnagogia phenomenon; in fact, the Wiki on the "Tetris effect" is probably the right term as the visions are usually dominated by images of the long hike. I do not know of a consistent way to induce hypnagogia, though (unlike lucid dreaming, which can be deliberately entered into more consistently).

Large doses of dissociatives produce very dreamlike effects for me, especially DXM. Sometimes even on upper second plateau doses while lying there my mind will just sort of flash into a dream state, and although it's not really like a "lucid" dream where you can control things or whatever, it does give you much more conscious access to what is essentially a dream state.

my vote goes to melatonin and valerian root. ive had some strange dreams while nodding on IV morphine, but it was more like when you nod on a strong opiate and you start seeing weird things and then you might jump or jolt and then realize your just really fucked on morphine. im sure there is something out there that makes for intense dreams. its probably at the edgewood arsenal being tested on troops right now for the purpose of making killer sleepwalking soldiers who cant be charged for their crimes because they were sleep walking.. hah
