Drug Etiquette

One thing that annoys me is when you are generous with your drugs - sharing with other people and they don't share in return... They quite willingly share with other people, sometimes in front of you... But you know you've given them this or that on a few occasions, and they never offer you anything in return...

I think drug etiquette also includes not boasting about how many drugs you've done at a party... I know one guy who's first topic of conversation when he meets somebody new is to start blabbing about this time or that time, and all the shit he took that night... Like for example, I was at a pub one night, he rocks up... so I introduce him to my friend. Within minutes he's mentioning one long weekend... "I like double dropped these pills and had lines of speed, and then back at the recovery a dude gave me like this big fat line of K so I had that, and they let me have a trip and I had juice, and then the next night I went to this rave, and so I had a pill again..." Who cares??? Like that's gonna make me love ya more!!! :p

It's just rude and immature - somebody you JUST met isn't gonna care about your drug past... And certainly wouldn't make them rate the person very highly, instead of asking one another about work, study, interests...

That's about all I can think of right now... The usual other annoying things of sober people not leaving you alone/lecturing you... I can't stand watching drunk people when I'm high/tripping... Or when others are coming down and start getting cranky/rude/insulting... It really spoils the entire night/day...
 
1. dont show if you dont share

2. dont put your friends or family in a compromising position concerning your drug use.

3. dont steal drugs

4. dont invite people you or your groupie dosent like to a drug oriented gathering.

5. respect others

6. if its at your house, its your rules.
 
Smoking Etiquette

i'm fairly new to smoking weed and a major concern of mine is how to conduct myself when in the presence of others while we are smoking. i figure a few "do's" and "don't's" could help me and others new to the wonderful world of marijuana ;)

when it gets around to you don't hog it, take your toke or two then pass it on then wait your turn.. noone likes a hogger

don't say the weed is crap, the owner was nice enough to shout you

can't think of much more.. pretty straight forward tho i guess.

oh yeh, normally the roller lights the spliff (to admire his work of art, somewhat) then passes it to the owner of the bud. but chances are the owner rolled it himself, so he starts.
 
Do take a hit, then pass it on. Taking two is usually not kosher, unless it belongs to you.

Do pass if you think you're stoned enough. More for the them always makes them happy.

Do bring an extra lighter if you feel like it, because you never know when one will come up missing.

Do throw some of your own in the mix, or pitch in some money for a sack once in a while.

Don't sit there with it talking and not taking a hit, pause the jabber and hit it. You can resume talking after you've stopped coughing.

Don't pass a pipe/bong with an empty bowl. Hand it back to whoever is loading it and announce that it is empty. If it is handed to you empty, exclaim it's emptiness and pass to whoever is loading it.

Don't pocket lighters.

Don't insult the product, they were kind enough to share it with you.

Don't get pissy if they don't have much and aren't wanting to give you much. Remember, it's theirs and they don't have to give you any.

My tummy hurts, I'm going to bed... :(
 
If someone esle supplies the weed, I'll try to supply the food. I really appreciate that when I supply the weed.

Hmm where I'm from and everywhere I've been its always been considered bad form to take more then one hit off of a bowl/bong each time a it is passed to you, even if you supplied the weed. Crazy how different rules can be even in the same country.

I usually pass off greens to someone, most of my friends do the same.

Some people feel its not polite to refuse weed from someone, but I don't. If someone tries to pass me a bowl/bong/joint/blunt of schwag I will decline. I'd rather not be high then smoke schwag.

[edit] After reading the aussie bong guide, its crazy how different methods vary between country to country. Doesn't the tobacco make you sick? I'd never pull tobacco through a bong. No offense intended.

As far as the number of hits to take where I'm from theres a general scale that slides depending on the method you're using.

joints - hit it twice
pipes/bongs/bubblers- hit it once
blunts- 2-4 depending on who you are smoking with

If you are ever in doubt just watch those who hit it before you and do as they do.
 
In my opinion if you're smoking at a friends house and he supplies the weed: if you end up smoking more than 2 dimes (about 4 to 8 grams depending where you're from and how nice the dealer is) then I would at least give the guy some money and especially pay for munchies (snacks).

I hail from the same neck of the woods as RED HAZE and in my circles it would be considered very poor form to take two rips (even on your own bud).

If you really feel like you deserve more then others, why bother sharing in the first place?

I'm actually kind of new to smoking weed (I have done other drugs for years though) But recently Ive been getting into it more and more...I'm even starting to sell and buy now...But I'm very awkward and unsure about the whole process of smoking...I dont think I look as attractive as those other ppl who seem to smoke with ease and faness but Hopefully one day I will get to that point :) I'm working on Rolling good joints and breaking it up, and how not to lip it so that your saliva gets on the end (icky) and finally how to keep it LIT :O....But it's funny because all this practicing on joints makes my cigarett smoking habits retarded..I keep forgetting i'm smoking a cigarett and I always hit it like a joint...and I dont know how to hold it right.....hopefully i will eventually learn in time...this thread has a LOT of great advice that I'm going to apply to my smoking and General drug doing habbits..thanks guys! :)
 
ive found that if everyone at a party is triping its cool... if everyone is rolling its cool... but if you mix people tripin on cid... people rolling... and people rolling while tripin on cid.. u have problems... all them little candy kid ravers come out and try to be all lovy dovy with a bunch of acid heads... they will just sit and fuck with the guy rolling... it dont mix

1 drug per party!

Cigarette smoking habits are retarded anyway man, quit that and only smoke tobacco in joints. : )
