Opioids Drug Documentaries that scared the shit out of you...

I've never touched either drug, the closest I've had to meth is amphetamine paste and I've had some strong stuff but obviously it would never compare to meth. it's just you hear of people doing more crazy shit on meth not saying it's a good thing but I've heard some pretty entertaining speed stories you can't say the same about herion.
 
With tweakers, you've always got some great meth psychosis stories (was trapped in a closet for days thinking mexicans were outside in the trees, etc). With heroin and opiates, you've got the nightmare detox stories (got locked up and had to come off 300 mg methadone cold turkey, etc)

Meth is so easy to make, if a redneck with a 4th grade education can cook up a batch in a WalMart restroom, how come theres no tweak in the UK? Are the precursors just too hard to get? Surely the people that make this paste are capable...

Yeah I know what you mean I'm Suprised meth hasn't really took off in the UK and I'm not really sure why. in EADD there was a thread about it and it seems it is about but its very rare and only really heard of in the underground club scene in London and extremely expensive too with people paying ridiculous prices for a gram. how much is it in the states for a gram?

Unfortunately prices are against the rules here I guess. It varies massively depending where you're at. In the Northeast a gram can cost four times as much as in the south for comparable quality. In the southwest, near the mexican port of entry, it's dirt cheap and of very high quality. Mexican cartels have begun cooking in superlabs south of the border and their product is so good it has put a lot of domestic cooks out of business.

I just got back from San Diego, which is right next to the border. Meth is the drug of choice among junkies there, meth is so cheap, pure, and the high lasts so long that even the homeless can afford a serious habit. You can get a gram for the same price of an eighth of good weed. A gram can last you for days, easily.

I thought price discussion for small amounts is ok? it is in EADD anyway. i think it is down to getting the precursors, but anyway I'm glad its not took off over here asI seen the sort shit that stu does to people.
 
Oh okay I'm new here. The standard purchase amount is about .3 for 20 USD. Grams run about 50, and if you can afford it and have the connections, you can buy a quarter ounce for as little as 150 USD. All San Diego prices but it's about the same in Arizona. In New England its probably 3 times as expensive.
 
It's about the same price as mdma crystal over here then. considering what a small hit of meth can do thats dirt cheap. how long would one spliff of meth keep you buzzed for?

You don't smoke it in a spliff haha, you use a pizzo which is a glass oil-burning pipe so you can vaporize the crystal without burning it. You load the bowl with probably half a 20 bag, so like .15 grams, a couple hits and you'll be feeling good, you feel it as soon as you.exhale the smoke too. Smoke a bowl to your head without a tolerance and you'll be spun all day for $10 or less. The most economical drug out there.

Not trying to derail the thread. Watched one last night about IV opiate use, HIV, and prostitutes in Ukraine. Some gnarly shit, they grind up a wgole pile of these beads containing trace amounts of opiates, and they have to use 20 cc's (yes CCs not units) to fit all the pills in, and proceed to do a 20 cc shot right into the femoral vein. Eastern European and Russian opiate habits have it the worst!

Tracey from BTH-Dark End Of The Street is by the way very active in reddit.com/r/opiates. Some people from that documentary did not make it but it seems that she did as she has been in recovery since the filming.
 
That one with the two russian women was good, bud damn that was a lot to shoot!!! And so many beads...Does anybody know what that could be? That was so many fuckin beads they had to crush! Glad that one girl got on maintaince,didn't say what the maintance drug was though, and I though Subs/Methadone treatmenat wasn't practiced in Russia?
 
Russia considers the idea of treating addicts with addictive drugs to be perverse and refuses to allow it, despite having the largest population of heroin addicts in the world. I see where they are coming from honestly, maintenance treatment was an utter failure for me, but for some it clearly reduces harm to themselves and to society. I kind of admire their taking such a firm moral stance for some reason

Ukraine isn't part of Russia (or is it yet haha?). Ukraine has more progressive social policies as far as i know
 
I think it's horrbile they keep maintaince drugs away from people...especially people who are hooked or that Krockadil shit..I think they just kinda want addicts to die out and look at maintaince as a way of helping a druggy get high..for maintaince to work you have to WANT to be clean, its not a free high everyday,otherwise I people wouldn't relaspe all the time...its cruel when somebodsy limbs are falling off and they have no options(well quit, but we know how that goes...) and at times you get so down on yourself your just like fuck it im just gonna use anyway..

True, but spend 3 years at a methadone clinic like I did, immersed in broken dreams and hopelessness, you might realize maintenance is a path to stagnation and misery for 80% of the people there, its more about protecting society from the damage they'd be doing if they were still on heroin. Of course once they cop a benzo and crack habit it doesn't help anyone really.

Then again i have seen it work for some people. Just not most. I think in a way giving an opiate addict more opiates is cruel.
 
I watched oxyana last night... scared the shit outa me cause they said they payin 40-50 for one perc 30, smh get em for 20-25, but they are like three hours away from morgantown tho... anyways good doc, if you watch it tho north WVA and south WVA are two totally different places and that place is fucked up for real

ummm anything under a $/mg is not that bad anywhere in america... esp around here, where ppl been doin em since before you even knew wtf was up... obviouslly it doesnt cost the pharm co. 20-25 to make em, their that much because of A) risk B) demand and C) location, and unless you know someone from a city (detroit/ philly/ NYC/ DC) then their gona be atleast 30-40... yea five bucks isnt alot if your getting one but get a 100 n that shit adds up quick.... you sir are a jackass

One of my favorite documentaries. I love when he shakes a prescription bottle full of pills and calls the rattling noise it makes the West Virgina mating call - genius! Not technically a drug doc but drugs are key to the whole thing and its a must-see anyways...

And 30s started off at 25 in northern New England back in 2009. When regular 80s stopped coming around the price climbed up until now in 2014 it's not unusual to pay 40 per. That's why everyone just goes to Mass for dope now instead. In Arizona and SoCal it's unusual to pay any more than 15 but all drugs are cheaper down there.
