Drug designs. (MedicinalUser SAR thread)

Benzyl bromide is an alkylating agent.

I'm almost sure animal models demonstated that the 25-dimethoxy-4-chloromethyl homologues of the 2C-X and DOX had extremly high affinty... but had the unfortunate tendency of alklating the receptors (generally considered a BAD thing). So one would assume the bromomethyl would share that same... ahen... downside.

I know...., But I try to come up with new molecules. Some which might not be good for Human Consumption.

Well, play with the organophosphate and carbamate nerve agents. There is a lot more subilty than most people seem to note, and have the advanage of everyone ASSUMING they will not be 'good'.

There is even a question hanging over the carbamates in fact being considered in quite the same order. EA-3990 and it's relations don't cross the BBB because they carry a formal charge. So that is a genuine (if niche) question that remains open, AFAIK.

Then there are the bicyclic phosphates succh as EPBO and related which are clearly being developed as the Novichock agents were developed, to whit to use loopholes in the Chemical Warfare Convention.

Certainly there are a host of compounds as or possibly even more toxic out there which are neither organophosphates or carbamates which crucially, traditional treatment protocols aren't particularly effective in countering.

That way - one can still consider them as being psychoative... but mostly only ONCE.
