Do you know about the Liming Shao patent with the 3',4'-dichloro tramadol analog behaving as a SNDRI?

Liming Shao, 12 More », WO2008151156 (to Sunovion Pharmaceuticals Inc.).

Status of patent - ceased.

I'm sure if you use an academic search engine the people named on the patent will show up in the papers that led to the attempt at a patent.

I seem to recall 3,4-dichloro pethidine was demonstrated to be a stimulant although forgive me if I'm wrong on that one - it's something I read decades ago and even then research was halted. A bit of a shame since we know that the N-desmethyl homologue of pethidine is a reasonably selective DRI (BNF notes that chronic use of pethidine could lead to psychatric issues which I take to mean stimulant activity.
