Really love this thread. :)

Christ in The Sepulchre Guarded By Angels? Yup:

Whether Blake was a druggie,or not, he certainly captured oral DMT right here.

I have none to add, but beautiful art you two! And love the thread idea to!

No one will know whether he did or didn't or was just mad, or both and because.

M.C. Escher's work always seems to have a psychedelic influence to me but I suspect he didn't indulge

I'd liked to have seen that.

They have this in Glasgow - Kelvingrove Gallery & Museum. It's something else in the flesh.

It's not strictly Art & Design, meaning drawings and painting and sculpture, but several videos and photoshoots of Lady Gaga make me think of mephedrone and / or 2cb. Haven't dared posting anything to avoid a barrell of abuse.
Disclaimer: I'm not into her music at all, faaaaaar too cheesy for my liking

The magician lol

A better omen =D

On yeh go, whatever you like visual :)

Ok then Kate. For some reason when I drone I become fixated on shiny stuff, bling, nudity, tattoos, leather attire, heavy, colorful make-up. That's why I've never used it outside of my house ;)
2cb makes me love colurs, shapes, crystals.

Every time I try to paste my chosen image URL into the Image window of the reply I get an error message saying 'invalid URL'.

I like this a lot :D
:D
You should watch the Born This Way video then if you haven't yet. Sorry I know it's commercial but I find the visuals amazing, so modern. I like to watch it with the sound off and with something else on the background

Love the retro beauty wearing the red swimsuit, which drug does she make you think of? :)

escher was inadvertently a world expert on crystals- in his drawings he has every type of crystal form. i love him. i dream one day of not pissing away so much cash on drugs in order to afford an escherian tattoo.

this guy kind of predates drugs:

Hieronymus-07.jpg

Hieronymus Bosch?

There are some apparent links between the symbols Bosch was using and ergot, which seems to have been quite widespread during his lifetime- THIS is pretty interesting, arguing reasonably convincingly that his obsession with amputation was rooted in the physical effects of ergot poisoning.

I love Jim Woodring's work. This is one of his paintings, featuring entities which recur a lot in his comic work.

His comics are almost unquestionably influenced by psychedelic drugs and are mainly set in an utterly bizarre yet somehow logical fantasy world. The FRANK Book is a great place to start.
