Driving High

First off, no one should be driving while under the influence.

But...let's be honest - marijuana smokers are going to do it regardless.

So, what are some tips or advice you have to protect yourself (and others) when driving under the influence?
 
I seem to be fine when I drive high. The hardest part is paying attention, especially with passengers, and ones who are really, really high and are freaking out about your driving.
 
I'd say a good tip is to concentrate on what is in front of you and don't worry about the mirrors or cars behind you, unless changing lanes of course.

It seems like so many stoners who drive freak out about possible "cops" following them that they lose focus on what's in front of them. Which ironically makes them more likely to get pulled over.
 
Tips while driving high? It's kinda like asking for tips for driving sober.... If you get distracted by music, turn it down or off. I have no problems while driving high...
 
I agree with chainer, there's no difference between driving high or sober, depending on your personal experience.

Just trust your natural instinct.
 
If you ask me driving around high or with a little bit of weed on you makes you drive better because your not trying to get caught...However you still should be responsible and not do it.
 
driving high and driving sober are exactly the same, both slightly sketchy and full of fun and music. Seriously people when are you gonna understand you can do anything on weed to the peek of perfection?
 
now they have saliva tests they can do at any time.. i don't have a drivers licence but if i did i would be fucking carefull...

my friends allways say driving high is safer cause you drive slower and are really carefull, which may be true, but your reflexes are still affected
 
Ya im gonna reiterate what everyone else said. I dont find that theres really any difference between driving sober and high
 
Marijuana impairs you. It is a hallucinogen. Simple as that. While it may not be as debilitating as driving under the influence of alcohol, it's still a stupid risk to be taking. Just drive sober.
 
Dumb risk to take. It does impair you slightly whether or not you want to admit it. Is it like Alcohol? No. But its still not the same as doing it sober.

Hopefully when/if Marijuana is ever legalized they place laws against driving under the influence.
 
I think its almost just as easy driving sober

However, sometimes I cant feel the break or its like hard to press down on when Im really stoned

Its kind of funny though lol.
 
I think a lot of people (especially daily smokers) drive just as good if not better when they are stoned. When driving stoned you may be even more careful then normal because you are high.

this is why its still illegal.

i know someone who would say the same thing about scotch.
 
When you gotta blaze 4-5 times a day, the car becomes more of a tool for getting high. I drive slower when I'm really high, otherwise I imagine I drive normally. Clean record, no accidents...

WRONG! Its a decent reason, but there are many better ones as to why its still illegal. Alcohol is legal, and people drink on that. Look where it gets them...


I agree that not driving under the influence is safer, but how do you know how we drive when we're high? I doubt a lot of us all of a sudden become aggressive drivers when we get high.
 
^whats funny is i find i can drive normally when stoned, but i think its because i have been a chronic for about 6 years now. its almost second nature. however, ever since going to the marijuana march and seeing how immaturely stoners carry themselves, i refuse to get behind the wheel while lit up. it is irresponsible.

same thing could be said for drunks. if one were to drink a fifth of gin a day for so many years, then one could probably function quite normally while drunk in a motor vehicle. but if someone with no tolerance drank a fifth of gin and tried to drive, fucking chaos.

thats my point exactly. there is no way to know, nor is there a cheap and efficient way to test for marijuana (like a breathalyzer)

honestly i didnt have these views a year or two ago.
 
dont keep looking in your mirrors because you think every car behind is a cop.. u will probably hit something in front
