Driving High

whoever said marijuana is a hallucinogen is retarded. i would drive while stoned and never expect to see a hallucination

Whoa there, kimosabe. Marijuana most definitely has some effects that can be correctly described as psychedelic.

'Hallucinogen' is a misnomer, really. Drugs called this are actually more correctly called 'psychedelics', because they are more likely to produce DISTORTIONS in perception and cognition, not full on realistic experiences of things that are not objectively there. Drugs that produce true hallucinations tend to fall into the category of deliriants or dissociatives, not psychedelics, though there are exceptions, and the lines can blur.

The bottom line is, marijuana is definitely capable of distorting one's sensory perception and thought processes, which can make a an inherently dangerous activity like driving even more dangerous.

I've driven stoned. I can't in good conscience recommend it.

Welcome to BL and to Cannabis Discussion.

Hot Boxing is where its at. Back in high school we used to do that all the time. doin 100mph on the interstate, care so fogged you can barely see the cars in front of you, and then you put the windows down and the people next to you see the smoke POUR out. its aesome.

Now i still drive high but i dont smoke while im driving and i try to be extra careful when driving high. when your high is when you make the stupid mistakes like accidently let go of the break and bump the person in front of you, high as hell.. it does make it more fun though. it also helps alot with long communtes

It's real simple, while driving on any drug or while carrying anything on you: Drive the speed limit, come to complete stops, don't drive too slow, don't swerve, go with the flow of traffic.

It never ceases to amaze me when people get popped by police while carrying illegal substances or driving under the influence...and the reason??? They were fucking speeding! Unreal.

We always hotbox in the freeway lol..
^ I will LMFAO if I ever see you start a thread in Legal Discussion.

BAHAHAHAHA

no shit dude. this dealer i knew a long time ago got caught with a brick of coke because he was fucking racing - WTF.

Here's a tip - if you're going to drive under the influence, hide all illegal substances and paraphernalia.

I always thought smoking while driving was one of the dumbest things a person could do. Same with hotboxing - its like you're asking for a cop to pull you over and arrest you.

it really is bro, im glad i realized that before it was too late. its just way more fun to smoke in a car for some reason. we'll go park somewhere and fog out, then do a major air out session. and for like a week after i dont carry anything illegal i cant munch down rly quick in the car. and i smoke cigs in it (hate cigs)

i become a really cautious driver... getting pulled over = bad when high :( (as pretty much everyone has said)

Hotboxing does not have to refer to in a moving car (at least where I live). I have heard my brother refer to smoking in a closed closet "hotboxing".

i drive like an average of 25mph slower when high, it makes me more patient and cautious.
You're more likely to get pulled over if you're driving that slow beneath the speed limit

Objective psychological studies have shown cannabis to leave reaction-times unmarred, but vigilance degrades markedly. Experienced users can partially compensate for this effect.

So in sum, driving stoned is a lot safer than driving drunk, but still unsafe.

ebola

i get too paranoid driving stoned these days, used to have no problem with it though

if anythn im over cautious , wich can be bad headfuck in heavy traffic if ur really smashed

also sorta depends if im driving automatic or manual transmission , manual can get abit
tiring after a while .

love driving on low dose opiates or benzos , not fully out of it or anythn like that , just mild buzz etc
makes for a good days cruise if got nuthn to do lol

I drove through a booze bus stoned beyond belief last night at 2 in the morning. my eyes were so red but luckily I hadn't ben drinking so they passed me through, I got the most evil look from the cop.

One time while driving high, there was a crosswalk ~200 feet before the red light I was trying to stop at, but the light looked closer, so I stopped at the crosswalk thinking that it was the intersection, but the intersection was a lot further up.

I get crazy visual distortions (I don't know if to call them hallucinations?) when I'm high, and I don't really know of anyone else that does, so maybe that's just me. I also have low tolerance though, and I get extremely forgetful and confused while high.

I try to avoid driving high
