Driver says he did all he could during Florida school bus beating

8) Am I the only one who sees something wrong with this statement? 8)

I really hope that was sarcasm.

I certainly don't see anything wrong with it.
Drug "crime" is victimless, and is only "crime" because unjust laws define it as such.
Those who sell drugs are not doing anything to hurt anyone - unless they lie about what they are selling, etc.
Therefore, ratting on them is not "the right thing" in any sense, except that taught to us by DARE, the propaganda wing of the DEA.
This is how I see it, at least.
Exactly what did you see wrong with that statement?

And no i aint saying that because of the gang mentality ''Snitches get stitches'', not at all, but because people who snitch are lowlife scum fucking rats who should be fucking punished.

Am I the only one who can't see a difference there?
Doesn't ''Snitches get stitches'' = people who snitch are lowlife scum fucking rats who should be fucking punished ?

I was referring to thou calling those kids who got snitched on "non-violent drug offenders" I agree snitching is just plain wrong and that there is nothing bad about selling drugs as long as you are honest about your product's contents and are selling it to somebody that knows that they are doing. That still doesn't change the fact that 3 kids ganging up on a kid much smaller than them is cowardly.

I think that phenethyljo's point was that to characterise these specific drug offenders as non violent is a bit rich since they just assaulted a kid for narcing on them. Sure when he narced on them they hadn't done anything violent that we know of, but its a pretty safe bet this wasn't their first foray into assault, even if it was they aren't non violent anymore.

I have mixed feelings on this, I really don't have any time for snitches at all, but when they are 13 years old and all they are told is that it is the right thing to do it is kinda hard to feel like this kid did enough wrong to justify a beating of that magnitude. If these dealers are so badass one of them atleast could of went the kid one on one instead of this cowardly crap, I mean a fair fight and a black eye is perhaps a lesson learned but 3 on 1 resulting in a broken arm and shit seems fairly excessive and I am honestly surprised to read adults condoning it.

I would have a lot less sympathy for this kid if he was involved in their shit, got caught and dobbed them in to get himself out of trouble. It really doesn't sound to me like this kid did anything other than what he believed to be the right thing and he didn't deserve this.

Also, to Thou saying how does someone know what 15 year olds should be doing in response to a comment they shouldn't be dealing, I understand that perhaps some kids live in a social situation where they may be forced to sell drugs to survive or to not get beat or whatever and I wont condemn those kids as bad or whatever. There is a big difference between that and 15 year olds trying to sell drugs to 13 year old kids at School, that is wrong, 13 year olds should not be taking drugs and nobody should be offering it to them, I mean it is impossible to argue these kids were doing the right thing. The bottom line is that these kids are fucking pussies and assholes, trying to sell drugs to a 13 year old and then bashing him 3 on 1 for doing what he has always been taught was the right thing. What kind of faggots need to team up as a group of three to bash a kid two years younger than them, where I come from that shit is as looked down upon pretty much as badly as snitching is.

What i meant is that i dont necesseraly care if the Snitch gets punished physically, i think mentally is pretty good too. As snitching is basicalling fucking up somebody ''verbally'' and ''mentally'', and fuckjing up his life, not fucking him up physically.

He (kid that got beat) probably didn't like the kids. Yea ratting is ... well... not a good idea, but to consider the negative bullying energy coming from those kids, I'm not sure I wouldn't jump at a chance to screw them. Fucking kid needs to put on a fucking belt.

I want to say the bus driver has no obligation to help, or rather risk getting in trouble. But, I feel that if he took a threatening and commanding tone as an adult should, properly, he could have had more control. I'm not sure I wouldn't have gone and simply wedged my way into the seat with the kid getting beaten. If they wanted to beat on me, let them. More charges on their ass. I imagine if an adult put themselves in the middle here it would stop and no real force would be needed. But many adults don't really realize their ability and responsibility. Some kids might ignore that they are an adult, continue to be violent... but I doubt they wouldn't have stopped. .

But the subject I guess is should he be charged? No...

The victim better learn krav maga or some other self defense techniques if he wants to do the right thing from now on.

I agree with this.

good God not this again

Critics blast Jackson, Sharpton over silence on Florida school bus beating

Self-appointed civil rights leaders and celebrities remained mum on the vicious beating of a white sixth-grader at the hands of three older African-Americans in Florida, despite a growing chorus of critics who called their silence hypocrisy given their recent, racially-charged condemnation of the Sunshine State.

Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson, who both blasted Florida in the wake of the Trayvon Martin shooting and the acquittal of George Zimmerman in Martin's death, with Jackson calling it an "apartheid state" and "our Selma," have not spoken publicly of the brutal beating aboard a school bus caught on cellphone and surveillance video. Neither Jackson nor Sharpton responded to requests for comment from FoxNews.com.

“Three 15-yr-old black teens beat up a 13-yr-old white kid because he told school officials they tried to sell him drugs,” former congressman Allen West, an ex-Army Colonel who is African-American, wrote on his Facebook page. “Do you hear anything from Sharpton, Jackson, NAACP, Stevie Wonder, Jay-Z, liberal media, or Hollywood? Cat got your tongues or is it that pathetic hypocrisy revealing itself once again? Y'all just make me sick.”

Robert Zimmerman Jr., who vociferously defended his brother against charges the shooting of Martin was racially motivated, also chimed in, taking Sharpton and Jackson to task for staying silent on the beating.

“It's time 2 "unplug" their mic if U ask me...“@JimmieFleek: @rzimmermanjr @TheRevAl @RevJJackson apparently racism only works one way?” Zimmerman tweeted.

You pretty much summed up the way I feel after watching that video. Those three are cowards stomping the kid that way. He was done after the first 4-5 punches anyway. BTW DM it is arseholes ;)

As for the driver being held responsible? Fuck that he is on the verge of retirement & he did exactly the right thing.

Never snitch. Never.
I hope you say this only in regards to drugs, to say that there are NO crimes in the world where someone should snitch is a big statement, paedophilia comes to mind.

As for the story, were the bus driver younger I'd be pissed but at 64 I don't know, the kid shouldn't have been grassed on but you can't really blame a 13 year old for the fact that everything in society tells him that it was the right thing to do

I say it exclusively about drugs. I should've specified that. I feel a deep kinship with the drug community and an antipathy to anyone that messes with it.

And doing the right thing is snitching? Wow. As much a s i agree the kids who beat him up are pussys and cowards because they beat 3 on 1, at least it taught him a lesson

And the lesson is.....to carry a loaded gun when confronted by 3 people about to beat on you. We dont know what went down, snitching or otherwise. All we know is 3 kids beat up 1 kid and I'd bet good money the 1 kid is going to buy or somehow get a gun and probably look for revenge.

I wasn't talking about the accused I was talking about prohibition.

Obviously I'm not siding with the sociopathic cretins who assaulted the victim.

I read the comments on the article....some people were bringing up Obama. How shameless.

What gets me is why weren't there any other kids that stood up and defended the other kid. My brother and I would make them "fair ones" when that kinda thing happened.

Every bad thing that any black person does is Obama's fault.

Every bad thing is Obama's fault.

Never snitch about drug issues, but snitch about other offenses? Er...nope. Either you believe in reporting things or you don't. You can't cherry pick issues and retro-apply an inconsistent policy to scenarios based on your personal emotional stake in them. That's a purely self-centered and ignorant position at a minimum, but more relevant to the overall issue is the fact that any philosophy of behavioral monitoring/punishment, regardless of which side you are personally for, generates the social model utilized right up to and through the court system. At least here in America (well that's the idea anyway but its being bastardized due to emotional distractions such as yours whereby selfish individuals seem to think that discrimination is fine if its in their favor philosophically). Now lets just apply your never snitch philosophy to a scenario involving crime you aren't inclined to defend: Lets say your daughter comes home and reports to you that she's been raped. You gonna ask her who did it? Or are you gonna ask her if she was high and acting whorish? Or wait, no...you're gonna council her in the wrongness of snitching and tell her that you never snitch. NEVER. Right?

Tell ya what. I have a son and a daughter that are presently in college. I taught my son that he was to look after and protect his sister, but that he was to employ patience and other standards I taught. To the point: As a sophomore in high school he was expelled 'for fighting'. Turns out a senior football player slapped his sister across the mouth FOUR TIMES in plain sight of an administrator, who was too afraid to intervene...very similar yeah? Now my son simply escorted the young athlete to the gymnasium and locked him in a gear closet for the few minutes it took for him to call the cops...didn't hurt the guy other than a fractured arm and dislocated shoulder. But because this seriously damaged the gentleman's football season, he had to sit out most of it, my son gets the bad rap. Why? Because my daughter's cheerleader outfit was 'the central provocative issue in the final analysis..." and so forth.

When the time comes for the school to state their formal position, ultimately its a cowardly rant dissertation about how they cannot "take a position if favor of violence in any circumstance..." so forth. Sounds great, except football jock actually gets a FORMAL APOLOGY from the school for not having a coach in the gym who "...could have potentially discouraged (my son's) egregious and dangerous violence and thus prevented injury..." blah blah blah so on so forth. So you see what happened there was a BIAS as to WHOM to apply a RULE, based strictly on emotional and convenient/socially/financially favorable factors.

You tell me: Who was in the wrong here, if anyone?

I took my son and daughter out for their favorite pizza that night and applauded them both. My son for not just fucking big boy up the way he knew how, and my daughter for not attempting to dramatize or tattle further, as she noted: "I think he got the point, dad. Now we gotta try to make peace."

I wouldn't snitch on a dealer, but I would certainly snitch on a rapist - I cannot understand how the logic behind this is so hard for you to comprehend.

The quoted part of your post is utterly ridiculous, and the rest nothing more than irrelevant rambling.

So in your eyes, we must report everything, or report nothing? Am I correct in assuming that you've reported ever dealer you know of then? What else do you report? How do you feel about jaywalking?

It seems like you take two contradictory positions in this paragraph. Which is it? Can we discriminate between snitchable crimes or not?

I for one feel no fealty to rapers. Rape laws address a legitimate danger and I support them. Drug laws, on the other hand, are simply tools that those in power utilize to strengthen their repressive capabilities, and I think this country was founded upon opposition to such tyranny.

Drug laws must be resisted by all of us, everywhere and in total. That means repudiation of anyone who snitches.

I don't advocate violence though. There are other ways to enact repudiation. In fact, there are far more mordant ways, and they're not even illegal.
