Drinking the day after taking Benzos.

I want to go drink tonight but I took benzo's last night. I took 15mg Oxazepam and 2mg Ativan. The Oxazepam was about 24 hours ago and the Ativan was about 12 hours ago.

Would it be ok to go out and drink tonight? I plan on drinking quite a bit, probably a mickey to myself.

You should be fine provided you did not take any benzos today. I do not have any personal experience with Oxazepam, however when I looked up the half life it went up to 15 hours.. that's the highest I saw. You should be fine. Just mind yourself on the first few drinks and have your friends watch you too.. if you're not out of control.. you should be fine to party on.. lol

It is always good to exercise caution when drinking and being scripted benzos but because you didn't take any today you should be fine!!! Go have fun! Have a drink for me!

I was just about to ask this regarding temazepam, which I know has a longer half-life. I don't have any benzo tolerance. Think I'd be ok to drink tonight as well?

Wait a few more hours, the half life of Temazepam is upwards of 20 hours.
